Very nice staff, let us check in early, nice, plain decent room, good ac, good bicycle parking inside, interesting area at the Port of Leith.
It was so expensive for a Holiday Inn Express (336 US dollars) which seemed extreme although Edinburgh is expensive at this time of year, breakfast was mediocre, not replenished well and the breakfast room felt crazy and crowded at 9 am.

Given ground floor room.
Comfortable bed.
Not a single drawer in the bedroom to put clothes, valuables etc in.
Worst breakfast ever - tasteless fruit juice, no fruit salad, no yoghourt(s), white sliced bread only, stale croissants.

The property was a 2 minute walk from the tram that was a direct tram to the airport- very convenient. The breakfast (included) was way better than any breakfast i've had included in a hotel stay- sausages, eggs, bacon, pancakes etc.
The price is steep according to Canadian hotels but is way cheaper than in Edinburgh city centre.

Good location in Leith only 2 minute walk to tram and bus stop for easy access to Edinburgh city centre. Also only 5 minutes to Royal Yacht Britannia.
