The location was good and easy to walk to everything that we wanted to see. The staff was friendly and very helpful with restaurant suggestions.
Wish we would have known how far we would have to drag our suitcases from the bus station. We took a taxi back to the airport.

Breakfast was the same everyday, it would've been nice if they have some variety and added peanut butter to the spread selection.
We don't know how to feel about the blue light in the bathroom

The location is close to the Royal Mile and close to the modern side of the city center, with adequate access to shopping, theatre and public transportation. We were right across the road from the tram to get us to the airport, which was very helpful to us this trip. It was also a short straight walk from the central train station. The hotel itself is spartan in design, which belies the charm of this city. The basic room we had was fine, nothing fancy, no room fridge (asked for and got ice for our needs). Would not want to be here for a long stay, but it was perfect for an overnight hotel .
no ramp for wheeling luggage into the hotel itself, nor inside the main hotel bi-level lobby to get to the elevator to the room. In the hotel’s defense, they are in the process of placing a ramp inside to access the elevator up and down to the rooms and there is a w/c lift for those who need it.

Great location, easy access to Old Town, trams, busses, etc. Room was spacious, modern, and clean, and nice breakfast included. Free coffees were a plus.
A little bit noisy because the building seems quite old and walls and floors creak when neighbors are moving around (the hotel does have modern styling and is clearly renovated, it’s just how older buildings are). The sound was not enough to disturb sleep though.

Breakfast was ok, but as the lift was broken one member of my party couldn't get to breakfast and we had to chose for them. Very busy, cramped space. Was told on first day it ended at half ten but everything cleared up before then. Location was fairly good as v near tram.

Breakfast was good without being exceptional. Got a little boring after 3 mornings but the convenience outweighed this. We were there to explore Edinburgh so was a great way to get the day started. Location was excellent. Easy walk to the old town and most of the tourist things we wanted to see but also good location for new town. Great restaurants right next door. Staff were lovely. Bar and front lounge area was a lovely place to relax on return from our long days of walking. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again.
Eggs only scrambled and a bit over cooked. Heating a little on the cool side for February.
