Nice big modern room. Very clean. Nice decor. Great bathroom and shower. Nice view of parkland. Very quiet room.
The two young girls on reception during the day and evening were extremely professional and very polite.
I travel to Edinburgh a lot and hotel is a little bit more out of the way than expected but is on the edge of a quiet residential area as a plus. 5 miles / 15 mins from the West End in a taxi and it's on a main bus route into the City as well if you are on a budget. Very good value for money.

Easy to reach by public transport. Welcoming and stylish reception area. Lovely bar and dining area which is calming and relaxing. Super comfortable beds. The staff here are exceptional and the manager was amazing. She fully accommodated our needs. We arrived early but were able to check in which we appreciated given we had been travelling since 3am that morning. We were treated to complimentary breakfast as it was my partners birthday. All of the staff here are so lovely and incredibly friendly. It’s so nice to be treated on such a personal level. Nothing was too much trouble. I can’t fault this hotel and we must certainly will be back.

Very friendly staff, welcoming. Room was exceptional but we had been upgraded. Everywhere was clean. Food was good. Swimming pool was lovely, nice and warm. Sauna was good. It was a shame when we went the steam room was not working.
Gym was ok, just need a bit more room if you want to do free weights or floor exercises.
The changing rooms were clean but you smell urine from the toilets. A shower i used was cold before I went and used pool but I used a different one when I finished and that was good.

Overall, our stay was okay, but with several noticeable downsides.
The room itself was good — clean, comfortable beds, and everything we needed was there. The hotel also has parking, which is a big plus, and it’s very convenient that you can reach the city center in about 25 minutes by bus.
Breakfast was decent, but quite basic. There was a lack of proper meat options or something more filling like porridge. Technically, porridge is “available on request”, but in reality it doesn’t match what’s advertised — instead of fresh porridge with milk, you just get a very plain and not tasty version made with water. As for eggs, only fried eggs and scrambled eggs are ready-made — anything else needs to be ordered separately. Pastries were almost always disappointing, and there were hardly any cold drinks available — you often have to struggle with large containers to get something.
The pool is a nice addition, but not without issues. The changing room showers are very awkwardly designed — it’s genuinely difficult to get into them, as you have to squeeze between the wall and the door. The pool itself is quite small and extremely chlorinated. After swimming, I experienced noticeable skin irritation.
Another thing worth mentioning is the layout of the hotel — it feels very confusing and almost like a maze.
In summary: clean rooms and good transport access, but the experience is held back by breakfast quality, pool conditions, and overall layout.
Breakfast was quite disappointing — limited options, no proper meat or filling dishes, and the porridge (although advertised as made with milk) was actually a tasteless version made with water. Pastries were often not fresh, and there were hardly any cold drinks available.
The pool area also needs improvement. The showers in the changing rooms are very poorly designed and difficult to access. The pool itself is small and extremely chlorinated — it caused skin irritation after swimming.
The hotel layout is confusing and feels like a maze, which makes it inconvenient to navigate.

I stayed 1 night in this quiet lovely hotel ,they gave vouchers to redeem on food and drinks ,,we had dinner i really like your pizza and the tasty breakfast ,,, very cleanroom ,nice host and ,the pool was heated and relaxing tks will come again
