Welcoming staff including houseekeeping. The hotel is in a fantastic location for local green walks as well as buses all over the city, the airport journeys on the 17 took less than 30 minutes each way. The room was lovely, very comfortable large bed, large closet and nice shower room. A selection of hot beverages available within the room was nice and a hairdryer was included. Hot buffet breakfast and continetnal were provided, with vouchers which we utilised and we are thankful for! One of the great additions to the stay is the included access to the Juvenate Leisure Club, open until late, we used the pool, sauna and steam room. It's basic community facilities but still a nice addition to a city break.
The room needed better sound proofing, we could hear and feel every step of the guests above us and sometimes across the hall of the ground floor. One of the room draws were broken, so some maintainace is needed. The room could also be improved by providing a mini fridge and a bath is always preferred over a shower. I did hear other guests request vegetarian food substitutes that had run out and I think all food options should be on standby/ frozen to improve delivering services paid for and advertised. If I were to stay again, I would request to stay on the first floor instead as well as have a bath.

Bedroom door was missing a hinge at the bottom of the door and not secure. Reception moved us when we raised it as an issue. Just a shame these issues are not picked up on routine checks.

Lovely staff, very nice reception area. Had a pizza in restaurant and it was really lovely. Room was decent size and bed was comfortable however bedding was not. Shower was fab. A great breakfast, tasty food well cooked & nice coffee.
Very expensive for what is a dated & unappealing building & sadly worn & dirty in many places. Pool & facilities so bad lasted 5 mins. Also no idea why its called Murrayfield, no where near it - last minute booking so my fault for not checking maps properly I guess, a tad misleading all the same and sadly won't be back and cannot recommend.
