Wonderful
Eden Locke made my first visit to Edinburgh wonderful. With its great location and amazing staff, the stay truly felt like home. The coffee shop and bakery in the lobby were the cherry on top, don’t miss the carrot cake and the granola bowl!
Everything was great overall, but I do wish the room had a few additional amenities. Slippers, complimentary water, and perhaps a tea set or a small coffee machine would have made the stay even more comfortable and convenient.

The location was wonderful and the facility was clean.
The lighting was terrible! Trying to get sufficient light to get ready (and especially put makeup on) was impossible. It made it very frustrating. If this isn’t an issue for you, it’s a nice place to stay.

The location was great, as it was easy to get around the city from our location. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The noise from an outside bar was very loud at times. Also, they should have provided more than one per person of plates, cups, forks, spoons etc. This required us to clean everything after having breakfast and other uses.

Parking discount ticket didn’t work. Should have been £15, cost £28… ?

The room was amazing, it was like a small apartment instead of a hotel room. It had everything one would need for a longer stay and had many nice features like a white noise radio and an umbrella in each room. The room was perfect for remote working, we regret not staying longer! One could easily have stayed in the room for a week. Super friendly staff!

The cafe was beautiful and we enjoyed that there was a washer/dryer. The bathroom was nice as well.
It was super stuffy, hot, and dark in the rooms. We were on the 4th floor and were super hot with no heat on, windows open, and fan blowing. They did offer a portable AC but it was our last night so didn’t feel worth it. The beds were really hard for us and did not enjoy a good night’s sleep on them.

The location was great. The coffee shop in the lobby was great too. Rooms were clean. The hotel had the heat on, so it made our room too hot, the staff was quick to provide sheets and a portable cooling unit to make us comfortable.
Did not like the lack of lighting in the room. We had every light on in the room and it still was not adequate. No outlets in the bathroom for hair styling. And the bed was not comfortable as others had mentioned, it was a fairly hard bed.

This was an excellent experience. So many small touches that made a difference: a washer/dryer in the room, kitchen facilities, blackout blinds and even a magnet to cover up the oven light, a white noise machine. The room was also very quiet, despite being right next to the lobby and restaurant.
The staff were great with requests and the location was very convenient for exploring new town, west end and stockbridge

Great to have a kitchenette with a washer and fridge, and coffee shop in the lobby is very handy.
Cleaning is only included in a stay of seven nights or more. After three nights, we asked for a fresh set of towels and also had to get more toilet paper. Seems weird to have a big pile of used towels in the room for the remaining days. Cleaning should be included after three nights.

I liked that it was in a great location, far feom the tourist crowds. The cafe downstairs was great, too. Loved that it had a kitchen.

Room were clean, comfortabke couch you could sleep on. Large windows for fresh air.
We were in a 2nd Floor room overlooking a court yard. There was an open are BAR right below us with people talking an laughing till 1 am so very poor sleep. Bedroom was stuffy so had to sleep on couch but could not open the windo for air due to the Bar noise. Also the dryer did not work and our clothes were soppong wet. We could not get our phones to call the lobby,any time over 48 hours but could call elsewhere in the area. That may have been our phones vs the hotel.
