Location was ok, a bit of a walk to main areas, but was fine for us. We loved the city as it was our first time visiting.
Breakfast we did not add, as the pricing was higher than any breakfasts we have had at other hotels, so much higher, we thought maybe we had not heard correctly .

Staff we're good, some really good (Raul) especially
Rooms not cleaned too well fingers prints on the mirror's our whole stay.Tea/coffee station was filthy and didn't get refilled when used, and the shower gel wasn't refilled when finished, same with the toilet roll. Dirty towels we're left in the room even when clean one's we're put in.

Welcoming staff, the corner beautiful room and the luggage storage posibility
On separate stay got a first floor noisy room on the street , so couldn’t open the curtains at all . The price is very high

The location - close to grassmarket, Edinburgh castle.
Uncomfortable beds. Rooms weren’t clean, hair all over my bathroom when I checked in. Clean room really late in the day. Very dark dated rooms

Location was great. All you need for a couple of days in Edinburgh.
The room is little bit old and needs an update. The bath wasn't clean enough

Location is excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Food and service in the bar was good.
room was clean and tidy, but had not been vacuumed after previous guests. Parking is not available on site, the discounted parking offered by the hotel is the most expensive in the city. It wasn't clear from the staff what the hotel discount was for using the car park. We parked in the Reigo Street car park just behind the hotel. Still quite expensive, but it appeared to be half the cost of other car parks.

The room was comfortable with a good view of the castle.
The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable
Some of the facilities were placed too high, eg. the hook and shelves in the bathroom and the iron in the wardrobe.

We had a deluxe double with castle view. The room was reasonably spacious and the view impressive. Shower was easy to operate and of good heat and flow, with a double curtain. Big, fluffy towels but only one hook and no hooks in the room's lobby. Dressing gowns that fit a rounder figure. Heating worked and lighting fine. Biscuits, milk etc were diligently replaced. Staff were professional and efficient. Breakfast 80/100 on our Sans Souci scale (where breakfast at Hotel Sans Souci Wien is 100/100) - highlights included friendly staff, haggis, and better coffee than in many places. Not over-busy when we were there so can't say if welcome and responsiveness would suffer under pressure, but no sign that it might. Overall, a very positive experience and would return.

Great location! Staff were nice apart from the trainee when we left. He was a little off but overall decent
The room was noisy. The floor boards are loose which means you hear everyone around you move around. The bed squeaks if you make any movement and the toilet was broke and kept running.

Location and breakfast were good.
Was initially given a room with a bath shower so asked to get changed to a walk in shower. Prices were elevated because of a big event on the same weekend.
