Staff was very nice and accommodating. Specially they guy that served us in the bar. I just didn't get to see his name badge. It seemed he was working the late shifts.
The check in was not as smooth as we hoped. It was delayed for over an hour and was given a drink voucher while waiting. Otherwise the staff tried their best which was good enough for us.

The staff
The room had an enormous TV at the end of the bed which totally obscured a great view of Edinburgh Castle. The TV unit was also far too big for the room and had no storage space for our clothes. A total waste of space. The TV should be smaller for such a small room and should be wall mounted.

The lovely welcome myself and my son got from the lady on reception, didn’t get her name but my son says he thinks she was Canadian, we checked in bout 1330 . The room was absolutely lovely and spacious, we had a lovely view of the castle too . All staff were very polite and I would definitely return to this hotel . Only sad thing was we only staying the one night I could’ve stayed there longer .
