Disappointing
The country club itself is stunning to look at. Lovely chilled out vibes
The room we was in wasn’t the best. The shower didn’t work, there was a problem with the drain so we heard noises all night from the draining system in the bathroom. Fire door dangerous especially in a family room. Be careful if you are attending with tiny children. The beds weren’t the comfiest and the quilts sounded like paper bags rustling all night. We could hear all the comings and going in the corridor all evening into early hours and the fire doors slamming shut constantly. I discussed with reception the next day, not very empathetic. The restaurant in the leisure facility charging a large service charge extortionate. We paid it and possibly wouldn’t return to that restaurant again. The hotel as a general is gorgeous to look out from the outside and the gardens too. I don’t feel it was work the almost £300 for one night for our family of 4 (breakfast and evening meal) the swimming pool was clean and grounds kept clean also.

We were in a Classic Double room which I thought would be small & basic but no - it was spacious, big bed, big TV, fridge, desk + chair, plus wee table + 2 chairs. Enjoyed using the pool, sauna & steam room. Also had lovely walks in the grounds and saw deer up close and there's a bird hide beside a pond where we saw heron, and various ducks. Good to have a choice of places to eat on site.
We could hear snoring from another room.

the staff on arrival were friendly and informative, our room was lovely. we had dinner in the brasserie and it was very good, breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and staff were all friendly.

The main house building is beautiful & the interior inside is lovely. The grounds are beautiful a nice few days break.
