Great location near the airport in the nearby countryside. Beautiful grounds, charming hotel. We had dinner at the Brasserie which was good casual fare. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Staff very courteous.

The standard double room is a long way from reception and you are given a map, lot of waking and you need to take two lifts and can be very confusing.

Loved everything about it, really nice and clean, friendly staff, big car park on site that is free and a great location away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There’s a bus stop right outside the main gates where you can get a bus into Edinburgh, the buses were frequent and reliable.

Stunning building. Gorgeous grounds. Easy parking. Food in both the evening before and the breakfast was so so good. Brilliant value for money, we felt spoiled for the night.
Only tiny gripe was the bathroom could have done with a bit of an update. But that’s minor…

Good choice at mealtimes. Staff in Brassarie and restaurant are lovely. Reception staff welcoming and helpful. All public areas.like rooms immaculate. Beautiful grounds.

For the price of the rooms it was not satisfactory I’ve stayed I. Much nicer hotels at a better price the carpet is old and outdated wallpaper is coming off walls and when you look at property online it looks like your staying in a castle but there is an addition built on to the main building and that’s where you stay the grounds are beautiful and great for golfing if that’s what you want the staff is not so friendly

Loved the Scottish atmosphere . The rooms were very comfortable and cozy. The staff was friendly . The breakfast was delicious The grounds were beautiful. It was close to Edinburgh yet a more relaxed experience. It is worth a walk to the small chapel near the entrance.

Hotel very nice. Ensuite bathroom looked a little tired, although was spotlessly clean. Staff very attentive and professional.
We went for a quiet drink and sat in a room off the cocktail bar. Very nice until the corporate party took over the room. Noisy, rowdy and turned all other chairs in the room, except ours, into a circle with backs to us. We felt isolated and uncomfortable. we complained and got moved to another room, but that event was not what we expected of an otherwise nice, intimate setting.

The grounds of the hotel were lovely, very scenic, the interior decor downstairs was in keeping with the Scott's heritage. The quality of the food was excellent and the staff friendly.
The food, although good quality, was short on Vegan options, unfortunately the wait times were pretty lengthy at 30- 40 min wait and when our nachos came, they weren't vegan, and slightly burnt. We were given an alternate of Mediterranean wrap and tiple fried chips so this was corrected which didnt have sucj a long wait time. The room was also pretty basic, especially the bathroom.
