The Bedroom was comfortable and we found all the staff in the Hotel exceptionally friendly and helpful despite the breakfast room being very busy on our second day. The Dinner was excellent.
The Map given to us at Reception was difficult to follow. It would have been clearer if the different "Levels" were separated on the Map and the print a lot larger. We were concerned that the Fire Safety instructions on the back of our bedroom door were printed in very small print and mentioned to go to the "Green arrows". There weren't any green arrows, and the lettering below the arrows was in a green coloured box, making it almost impossible to read.

Beautiful surrounding and buildings
Last day (minday) breakfast food was poorer then days before. We missed cotton balls and ear sticks in the bathroom and hair dryer was in the bedrooms drawer, I did not find it when I needed it.

Dinner in the Pentland was excellent. The staff were all very helpful and responsive.
Our use of the meeting room was also excellent as this allowed us quiet time for strategy.
The gym and pool facilities were an added bonus and the facility setting was beautiful.
The WiFi was a bit sporadic in the bedrooms.

Dalmahoy is a beautiful and quiet setting.
We changed our previous reservations--and paid more--because we thought we were staying IN the castle. Our room was in the addition.

Only the building is worth a mention
The staff are not at all accommodating with respect to basic facilities that should be there in rooms of hotel of this standard . Room are not cleaned well. There is water overflow in the bathroom owing to faulty drainage
