The location is great, the room was very nice and clean overall.
The staff at the reception needs significant training. Several of them are simply not customer/client oriented and should not be in the hospitality business. Also the breakfast could be more diverse for such a hotel…

Location so handy to Edinburgh set in lovely gardens and the decor of the rooms was very tasteful. Food in the restaurant was excellent as was the service however at breakfast I would have liked individual coffee pots instead of them coming round with top ups. Otherwise couldn’t fault the Dalmahoy.

On the golf course but course didn’t look that great.
No air conditioning and relying on a little plug in fan. You are able to open your windows a bit but it’s really not enough.

The surrounding area and the children’s playground, the golf course, was a fun touch as a family to play. The games room would be ideal for indoor going to be had with the family.
Little dated in parts the rooms. The room could do with all having a coffee machine.

The rooms were big. The breakfast was good.
The parking is very convenient
The staff was friendly and the rooms were cleaned every day
The restarunt was not always available for room service. We would call and they would tell us they are busy and to call in an hour so we ended up using just ear.
The room was very far to walk to and there was no way to get directly to our floor
The rooms were old and there were not enough outlets to charge our phones and everything else we needed.
The bathroom had mould in it (one that is not removed with cleaning)

Myself and my dad booked into the Dalmahoy to see ACDC in Murrayfield. We initially weren't too fused on the accommodation, as it was only to see the concert. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble and every single staff member was friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent and the facilities were wonderful. Had we stayed anywhere else, our trip wouldn't have been anywhere near as amazing. On the day of departure, instead of leaving we decided to stay and use the facilities until we needed to leave for the airport. We had a large lunch and relaxed, instead of stressing ourselves out by going into Edinburgh to grab a tram to the airport.
Thank you again to the whole team. I've told many people about how lovely this place was and now multiple people wish to visit.
Sometimes the breakfast service was a bit slow. Hotel information on the website wasn't overly clear.

Excellent location away from the city centre which is a nightmare during the festival. Lovely grounds and scenery.
The property is a little confusing to navigate until you get used to it.
There was always a long wait for breakfast, the result of the hotel being full I guess.

It's a lovely building in beautiful grounds.
My elderly mother loved the traditional Scottish decor throughout the hotel, and the various communal lounge/seating area options were ideal for our group with two rooms.
Our two dinners in the Pentland restaurant were both excellent, and brilliant personal service from the staff there. Special thanks to Hannah who was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good.
The rooms were a little tired and the bathrooms were dated. Paintwork peeling in areas. Beds were on the hard side.
Extremely noisy at night, with other guests shouting in the corridors coming back from nights out. Also in the early mornings when leaving for golf etc. The doors to the rooms banged shut rather than just closing .
Absolutely no customer service whatsoever from the management and reservations team, who were not interested in helping us with a situation beyond our control. Very disappointing and left a bad taste after what had been a mainly good stay.

Swimming pool warm and ideal for swimming lengths
Bottles and glasses left outside of our bedroom in main house.
We did not have bottles of water each night of our stay
