It has everything... great gym, restaurant and bar... and of course golf.. clean !
Very young staff, everywhere so great for the community. They need to be supervised though and know they present an impression even when not providing help to guests. At dinner the restaurant staff gathered and gabbed (I think all), rather than help.

Great location for days out in Edinburgh whilst being in the countryside
Breakfast was very busy, coffee machine had broken down and staff hadnt communicated with each other about how to manage this.

Beautiful grounds. Lovely large rooms
Unfortunately for the hotel the heating and hot water had stopped working 3 hrs before our arrival. There was heating in the bars and restaurants but not in the bedroom. They offered us the opportunity to go elsewhere with a refund but as this was booked in advance and not knowing the area thats the last thing we wanted to do. They told us they would refund us the 2 nights on the second night due to not being repaired.

The staff were amazing, every last one of them, whomever is in charge of recruiting is picking employees very well. Very comfortable place, decor is a bit tired in some areas but not in a bad way, it's lived in and comfortable and we really liked it, had a really homely feel to it. Loved our room, it was fabulous, very good quality carpet, beds, chairs etc, I felt so comfortable here as it wasn't "precious"....you felt like you could kick your shoes off without judgement. Food was also very good.
There wasn't anything I felt strongly about, breakfast could be slightly better but tbh for the price it was still good, I'm definitely going back, very comfortable

Nice lovely place
We are 8 people there is lots of big tables available to sit together but the lady give us 4 tables 2 each can sit . She is not friendly . But one of the waitress take care us and mange to sit we all together.
