After staying with Dakota Edinburgh, the Dakota hotel franchise will now be our first choice. Staff were wonderful, we arrived late in the evening and were able to have a drink and relax the bar. Plenty of parking available in adjacent carpark.

Love the vibe here. Immaculate rooms, attention to detail met. Surprised by complimentary champagne and canapés on arrival. Chocolates and a lovely note on the bed. Bar service was great and staff were friendly and attentive.

That it is relatively close to the airport. The staff is friendly.
Last time when I stayed there, the restaurant was open and they had a free airport shuttle, and although I knew ahead of time that the restaurant would be closed, I didn’t know that the shuttle wouldn’t be running. Had I known I probably would’ve stayed somewhere else.

We arrived at the hotel to be told all bar and grill facilities were closed. We were told if we wanted food we could go to Tesco near by. We were not told this at the time of booking or we would have gone elsewhere. We had been travelling for 24 hours and just needed some food and a drink before bed. There were no facilities on site. We even received a WhatsApp message earlier in the day to ask if we wanted a table booked by them.

Very spacious and modern room. Good bathroom with a rain shower. The hotel is warm and cosy. Very friendly staff. I liked the design of this hotel, it made it feel more homey. Also, there is plenty of parking space and there is a Tesco in front of tof the hotel. If I go to Scotland again in the Edinburg area, I definitely will book this hotel.
Wifi was very poor. And there was a note in the room stating you should turn the television on and get private wifi via the tv (your room number would appear in the wifi list and you had private password). Did din't work and when I asked the reception they told me this was an old system and no longer used. However I saw in my wifi list that there were other rooms in the air, so it was working but not for our room. It gave me the feeling they were not interested in fixing the poor wifi.
