The hotel is nice and continently located near restaurants. The rooms are quite nice, as are the open spaces in the hotel.
Don’t bother using the fitness facilities. They are difficult to get to and pretty restricted on working equipment. One issue we had with our room was that we had two queen beds. The problem is that they were butted up against each other. The front desk was stunned to hear this and sent someone up address it. Turns out that the mattresses were new and were larger that the old ones, so they didn’t fit properly. To fix it, we had to angle to beds to give the person sleeping in the middle some space to get into and out of the bed. It worked out, but it just seems strange that no one thought of this ahead of time.

It was in a good location, proximal to pretty much everything you would want to do and see. Walking distances vary depending on which attraction you want to visit but manageable. That’s just if you wanted to do things by walking.
I have stayed in many Courtyards and if I had known what the rooms were like here for the price I paid, I would have chosen somewhere else. I like to pay for value and quality, if I pay less then I would expect a lesser quality room, If I pay loads then I expect a room of the highest standard. Sadly I had asked for a balcony room and pay a lot of money for this and it was a small room, balcony facing a wall. Asked to be moved and was placed in a superior room of the same size more or less with a slightly bigger bathroom which unfortunately we found had hairs in the floor and a broken loo roll holder. When you pay close to £2000 for 4 nights, one would reasonable expect more quality in this area of the stay.

Room was ready on arrival. Beds and bedlinen were fresh. Breakfasts were more than ample with good choice and friendly service.
Room was noisy at front of hotel - designated a family room it would have been really hard to get kids to sleep with the night club noise etc. Carpet and upholstery were stained, clean towel was very badly stained and there was black mould inside the shower. No coffee machine although we booked as three adults there were only two mugs and two glasses etc, coffee, tea etc not refreshed. NO DRINKING WATER. Heating was erratic and water pressure poor.
At the bar we asked for crisps etc and were told to buy our own... Come on Marriott fresh water in the mini fridge and some crisps wouldn't kill the budget - we paid nearly 2K...

Our room had missing double glazing in bathroom, whiskey we got a reduction off the bill it never made up for Em3 noisy nights .
Room cleaning patchy , twice dirty glasses left in room and no toilet paper on 2 nd night which we had to ask for .
