We stayed here while attending a show at the Edinburgh Playhouse, and the location couldn't have been better—it's only a one-minute walk away. We had lunch and a couple of drinks in the hotel before heading out, and the food and service were excellent.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. Overall, it was a great experience, and we'd happily stay here again.

I really liked the hotel's location. The front of the hotel faces a wide street just off the main square, with plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. There's also a Tesco Express in the square that's open until 11:00 PM. The rooms, on the other hand, are on the quieter side of the hotel. With just a short walk, you can reach Calton Hill and find yourself surrounded by greenery. There's also an amazing bookstore just two buildings away from the hotel—I definitely recommend stopping by.
The reception staff were always friendly and happy to help with any questions we had. We were also able to leave our luggage free of charge after checking out.
We only stayed in the room, so we didn't have breakfast or any meals at the hotel, and we didn't use the bar either, so I can't comment on those.
The rooms were modern, spacious enough, and clean.
The bathroom door is made of frosted glass, which might not be everyone's preference.
The water pressure wasn't particularly strong, but it was such a minor issue that it was hardly worth mentioning.

Modern and sleek design, very sophisticated. Friendly staff too.
Just a little bit on the pricier side. We booked for a concert and we left it far too late so we were limited on our choice of hotel. Booked this one as it looked brilliant and it was, we just paid more than I would have liked to!
