Location was great …. Beautiful looking building.
Clunky check in , asked for id gave a card …. Not the one I intended to settle the bill with. Money taken for room over night …. Not advised so I could change the card. The tv welcome message had another guests name in it…breach of data. The tv did not work properly and kept switching on and off . Bed was not that comfortable

The breakfasts were good with plenty of choice. Good location. Our room was very quiet which was good.
The duvets weren’t good. The filling of ours were in clumps probably through over wash.

Good breakfast - no queues. Very comfortable room. The hotel is in a good location next to Calton Hill and a 15 minute walk to Waverley Station.
We had difficulty being served at the bar one evening. There were two members of staff chatting with other guests elsewhere whom they seemed to know well. They eventually both acknowledged us separately and said they wouldn't be long but went back to their own conversations with the other guests. We stood at the bar for ages and gave up and left. There was another gentleman waiting with us also.
