Disappointing
Location.
Long queues at check-in and at Reception at all times we needed them. Waitress in restaurant on Friday night was not fit for purpose. Extremely unhelpful, to the point of rudeness. Ryan, however, was a thorough gentleman.

Room was a decent size. We liked that there were two seats in the room. The reception level is level 5 ( street level, the hotel is built on a hill) and we were offered a choice of a level 3 or level 7 room which we were able to view before deciding. Room was warm. Bathroom had a good sized walk-in shower. Staff were friendly. Breakfasts were very good. Location of the hotel is really good - almost next door to The Playhouse theatre, 100 metres from a cinema multiplex, plenty bars and restaurants close by and close to shops.
There were 2 pegs available in the bathroom which were great for hanging up bath towels, but nowhere to hang the hand towels. There was a sag in the mattress which could have been prevented by regularly turning the mattress - I did have a slightly sore back in the morning. The bar closes at 23.00, even for residents. We had been to the theatre and were fortunate to have got to the hotel in time to get a drink from the bar, but we couldn't charge it to our room

Ideal location just yards away from the playhouse. Very friendly staff, very approachable and helpful. Plenty choices on menu for evening meals and breakfast.

Bed and pillows comfortable. Staff all very pleasant.
Room was noisy.
Room too hot and couldn’t adjust air conditioning ourselves.
Room wasn’t ready for us checking in (we arrived 3.20pm) had to wait albeit a short period of time. Given a free drink at the bar which was a nice touch but a little disappointed.

The location/the staff
I think the carpet in the room was not clean enough, my socks which were white were immediately grey from waking on it, probably not all people leave their outside shoes at the door, but walk inside with them. Not sure why specially the people from UK or USA do that from what I noticed, seriously now, how can you walk inside with the dirt you gathered outside, crazy.

It was very central & convenient for sightseeing. It was very clean & the breakfast was delicious. The reception staff were very helpful.
The room was very cramped & squashed. My bed had 6” space on each side. Not enough hooks for hanging clothes & towels. The see through panel on the corner of the bathroom was very strange. There was a full length mirror in front of my bed but the person in the other bed on my right hand side could look in this mirror which reflected anyone sitting on the toilet. The mirror should not have been placed there. It could have been placed further along the wall towards the door to ensure privacy! This is ok for a married couple but not for friends.
