We appreciated the location not only for being close to Waverly Station but close to touristy locations and shopping centre. The hotel room was comfortable and our breakfast was plentiful, tasty, a good selection and generous. I even tasted my first haggis there!!!
We never noticed anything that needs for us to make a negative comment.

Perfect location, close to St. James Quarter and Omni centre and next door to the Playhouse theatre. Two large car parks also close by. Clean and comfy room with everything you need.

Disappointing
The beds were comfortable and the hotel is very close to Calton Hill
Upon check-in, the female receptionist asked whether we would like to pay now or later. We clearly stated that we would like to pay immediately, and the payment was taken at that time.
However, upon check-out, another staff member requested payment again, despite us explaining that we had already paid at check-in. He claimed that the first charge was only a pre-authorisation and that the bank would release the funds.
As a result, we have now been charged twice for the same stay.
My holiday has now ended, and I am currently having to deal with both the hotel and my bank in order to resolve this issue, which is extremely inconvenient and stressful.
I kindly request an immediate review of this matter and a full refund of the duplicate charge.

Easy check in, helpful staff. Found us some mint tea bags and tried hard to find decaf coffee pods (see below.)
Complimentary coffee machine is great but would have appreciated decaf pods. Powdered alternative just isn’t the same,

The location of this hotel is fabulous and it is a comfortable place to stay.
The bathroom. The bathroom needs redesigning. There is hardly any privacy with a glass door to the bathroom, which has no proper seals. There are plenty of gaps around the door.
There is almost no counter space to put your things down, especially since this is a hotel and travellers will always have a toilet bag/travel bathroom kit with all their bathroom needs such as various toiletries.
