The staff are superb, the rooms are comfortable, the hotel has such a chill vibe,and there's a great variety of options for breakfast Also very close to everything, particularly a gorgeous bookshop
The bathrooms in the rooms - frosted doors, gaps in the frame etc. - make things a bit awkward privacy-wise

The bathroom wall and door is glass panel with a gap between door and wall. This is not good at all for sharing a room with someone. You don’t feel that you have any privacy to use the loo.

Excellent location in the heart of Edinburgh. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Public transport literally at the front door of the hotel. All in all a great place to stay.
Car parking is a problem at the hotel. There isnt any. Arriving by car and unloading your luggage is a major issue. There is a multi story carpark a short walk from the hotel but a bit or a problem if you have much luggage to drag with you back to the hotel.

After a complain, staff reacted well and responded.
The very first room allocated was next to the lift. This was avoided. The following room was extremely small with a very small bed, and looked more or less into a wall. Got a mail from the hotel which invited to opinions, after the first night, and we were moved to a far better room.
