Good location, rooms an facilities are quite new and clean, helpful staff, good restaurant.
No restaurant availability the night we arrived despite many empty seats; evidently chef was not accepting any more guests.
Bathroom design leaves a lot to be desired. Despite adequate space, sink is comically small, requiring one to stand sideways and press an ear against the mirror to wash your face while still splashing lots of water on the floor. Also, why no hanger for hand towels or clothing, and bath towel hooks that don’t really hold a towel?

The location was very convenient and close to most places. Since Edinburgh is easy to get around, the hotel’s location worked well for us. Check-in was also smooth and completed within a reasonable amount of time.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room was not up to standard. The furniture looked new, but I had to wipe down the wardrobes myself before using them. The bathroom also did not seem to have been properly cleaned, so I felt the need to disinfect the surfaces and amenities before use.

Wonderful location. Just a very short walk to the center of the city while providing modern conveniences.
I thought the property was great. The price was a little high, especially while traveling alone but it was worth the splurge.

location was very good close to the city centre and room was attractive, comfortable and well provided for with nice views.
breakfast a considerable disappointment for such a hotel. As a gluten free person was extremely disappointed with the offering. There was no gluten free section as there is in many hotels. I did order gluten free toast and was offered GF muesli however this was very poor and made up more of cornflakes that muesli. with so many good products available now of GF breads, granolas, crackers, muffins etc a hotel with such a poor limited selection is not acceptable. Orange juice was also not freshly squeezed and fruit salad was poor. overall a very disappointing breakfast experience.
