Central location. Bathroom had been renovated recently.
Cold. Some renovations, but still obviously a lot of the old hotel around. It’s the room and that’s it, no cafe or vending machines.

Location superb. Some staff were very helpful, others not so. Room and bed was very good. Literally 15mins walk from Edinburgh Castle.
Some staff didn't even acknowledge you entering and leaving the hotel. Cleaning staff locked the lifts for considerable time was annoying and was easier using the stairs instead of waiting 10 mins for the lift.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and common areas were kept clean. The hotel is very centrally located to places of interest.
The safe did not work and was not replaced. The staff had no explanation and could not provide a replacement. Twice the towels were not replaced. However, after I called the front desk the towels arrived in ten minutes.

First i hated the hotel to the point i wanted to cut my trip short and leave, because initially they put me in a very tiny room that is not suitable even for one person, also it was so noisy outside I couldn’t sleep. Then i spoke with the reception staff, and offered to move me to another room (in the new building) the room was comfortable and spacious, special thanks to Panayiotis from the front desk who made sure i was comfortable in the new room. Also Jason was very supportive and helpful.
Hotel design is weird, the old building is like a maze with so many unnecessary doors!
They didn’t change the bed sheets during my stay!

Only two pillows and one was very small. Requested an extra pillow but didn't receive it had to ask again. Our friends also requested extra pillows but didn't get them and were told that the staff couldn't find the extra pillows and that we had had the last one.
Did think when I booked originally (12 months before) that the booking included breakfast however after a change of name from Cityroomz to Four Points Flex when we arrived we were advised that they didn't do breakfasts. The photos when booking originally made showed a breakfast area so we were
disappointed that we had to go out and find somewhere to have breakfast. Wouldn't have booked had we realised that there was no breakfast.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The team was incredibly attentive, friendly, and kind, which made my experience unforgettable. The location is also perfect, within walking distance of all the main attractions. A special thank you to Dani for keeping her promise and finding Tim Tams for me – I had a hard time finding them myself, and it really meant a lot. Highly recommend this place!

The whole hotel was fantastic. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful the short stay we had. Facilities were well kept and clean, everything at hand we could need and if there wasn't the location is central enough you could pop somewhere and grab it

The room was ok. Bed was comfortable. Staff civil.
When we booked the family room, the photos alongside the choices of room had an image of a kitchen. The facilities also had kitchen and wifi. Once we arrived, we were told the family rooms did not have kitchen and saw there was a tiny tick at the side of wifi, indicating no kitchen. We paid £3k for 8 nights for this room because we would save money on eating out. In the event, we had to eat out anyway, costing us a significant amount.
The room service was very hit and miss, we only had the room services 4 days out of 8

Incredibly nice staff who went above and beyond to help me when I was incredibly stressed on vacation. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was great the shower was larger than most i’ve seen in European hotels. This is kind of a bare bones hotel though so the rooms aren’t very big and there’s not many service options which is totally fine! Just something to keep in mind :)
The walls were pretty thin so I could hear everyone coming and going and any conversations that were above a low talking level. By the beds there weren’t any outlets besides the ones for USB chargers and so if you’re from outside of Europe you probably use USB-C more so just keep that in mind. I know I went during Fringe so it was rather expensive but for the price I was expecting a little bit more, but overall very satisfied.
