The location was good.
My experience at Four Points Flex by Sheraton in Edinburgh was unfortunately very disappointing.
On the day of arrival, the reception told me there was no discount showing in their system, even though I showed them the bank message confirming the discount. They said they would “do it again,” and because we were tired, they told us to go to our room and they would follow up the next day.
The sad part is that during my whole stay, I was the one chasing them, going to the reception and making international calls to my bank to check if everything was okay. Nobody from the hotel ever reassured me or updated me that the discount had finally appeared and that it was their mistake from the beginning. I spent my entire stay stressed and on edge, worried they would charge me again.

The beds were comfortable and the staff were nice.
The bathroom was moldy and the carpet was coming up and we kept tripping on it. The sink didn’t drain at all

The studio room was a great size, with a well equiped kitchen and clean modern bathroom. The master bed was comfy and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. Location was perfect for a weekend of sightseeing in the city centre.
Do not book the sofa bed, it is little more than a trampoline with a sheet over the top, and should not be advertised as a bed. I did not sleep a wink the first night as it was incredibly uncomfortable. Fortunately the staff were very understanding and swapped out the sofa for a real bed and apologised to us with a card and some wine, so all in all we had a good stay.

Centrally located, close to almost everything in town.
Gets noisy at night: there is a restaurant right outside the window and also a bar/club in the basement of the building which sometimes plays loud music until 3 AM. Not recommended if you want to get a good nights sleep.
Poorly equipped kitchen: 4 knifes and forks for a 4-person apartment. Technically it’s enough but you need to wash it after every use or run the dishwasher almost empty. No cutting boards.
Poor ventilation in the bathroom and not even a place to hang the towels to dry.

The hotel is very conveniently located and within walking distance of most of the major sights in Edinburgh. Public transport is also very accessible. The rooms are clean and functional.
The family room is a bit small. Also, the first night, there was quite a lot of noise from the surrounding bars and restaurants. I would recommend requesting a room on a higher level.
