Wow! This place checked off every box for us. No matter what your main priorities are when booking a hotel, Airbnb, or B&B, Castle Park Guest House has it all covered.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the wonderful owners, Ian and David. David kindly carried our heavy luggage up to the third floor, while Ian sat down with us to go over all the amenities and offer great recommendations for attractions, restaurants, and various ways to get around town.
This beautifully renovated Victorian-style home perfectly blends charm with modern comforts. If you’ve traveled in Europe, you know how small the bathrooms can be—definitely not the case here! The spacious shower, comfortable king-size bed, daily room refresh, dedicated workspace, in-room coffee and tea bar, fast Wi-Fi, and a stunning view from our window were just a few of the highlights. And the breakfast each morning was absolutely lovely.
Ian and David went above and beyond to accommodate every need. The location is ideal—within easy walking distance to the downtown center, the Royal Mile, and many other attractions. If you prefer not to walk, there’s a bus stop just outside with buses running about every 15 minutes.
I can’t recommend this place enough. When we return, there’s no question—we’ll be staying here again. Thank you, Ian and David, for making us feel like part of your extended family.

We had a lovely stay! Super clean, the rooms are really comfortable and the breakfast was really nice too! Ian and David were really helpful and gave is some really useful tips that made our visit to Edimburgh even more enjoyable

David and Ian were two skilled and service-oriented people who have a fantastic hotel which is something all its own. Homemade bread every morning for a delicious breakfast. It was fantastic.

The breakfast was amazing! I loved Ian’s homemade bread and the fact that they tried to limit waste as best they could. I admire them for trying to be as sustainable as possible and I believe they did a fantastic job of it. The location is great, the guest house itself wasn’t on a busy street but was still central enough to be within walking distance of most stores and attractions. There is also a bus stop right across the road which made travelling with heavy bags very convenient.

The city center was within easy walking distance through a park. Beautiful property, nice, comfortable rooms. The welcome was warm and the breakfast was exceptional - we were really made to feel at home. Thanks for your hospitality, Ian and David!

The hosts, Ian and David, were absolutely exceptional. They were kind, friendly, generous, and very knowledgeable about the area. They were very accommodating and easy to talk with, and made everyone feel very comfortable throughout our stay.

A beautiful place to explore Edinburgh. Ian and David were very accommodating and I felt very comfortable. I would come back any time and have a great time. I can only recommend the castle guest house!
