Disappointing
Water pressure was good. Hot water was good. Location was convenient. After all tenants came in for the night, it was quiet.
No place to hang your towels. The drain in the shower was very slow to drain. Furniture was old and bumpy. The rooms had old furniture.

Location was convenient to public transportation, shops and restaurants. Neighborhood was OK. Did not hear any noise from the street.
Sink in the bathroom wasn’t great. Slow draining. Very small room with one chair that was in bad condition. All furniture was old. Although the room looked like it was cleaned, it didn’t feel clean. The sheets were clean. Towels were clean but rough. Stairs were a bit precarious. There was a lot of noise coming from the hallways, stairs, opening and closing of doors and voices. No communication with hosts, unless you webt back outside and rang the bell again. This is basically a step up from a hostel. I felt $160 a night was too much for this room.

The walk up to town was 20 minutes
This place needs some serious upgrades if trying to get clientele beyond students. It was a head on a bed for us but the carpet was disgusting, the wood paneling, and the general decor was poor. While the rooms were clean the decor made it feel dirty and grubby. Loose floorboards everywhere and room 1 shower was so full of hair that it didn't drain. We had 5 rooms and they were consistently the same and the basement rooms were depressing.

It was a good location except that there was a lot of construction going on to fix the sidewalks.
The pillows were very old and hard. The comforter was too short to pull up and they did not have a freezer on the premises for my medication which made it very difficult. Additionally, I work while I’m on trips and the Internet was unusable and the TV relied on the Internet so that was unusable also. I’m a small person and my husband is medium sized and we barely fit in the bed so it would not be a good place for most couples, the room was really meant for a single person especially with the limited space in the closet and the lack of floor space. If the manager invested in approximately $150 per room which is less than one nights stay the room could be vastly improved and if they upgraded the Internet to a reasonable level that would probably be the equivalent of one night stay on one room for all the rooms. So I think that I would not recommend staying in New York because the management hasn’t invested in the customer and just realize probably on business that doesn’t repeat.

This wasn't a hotel or an inn. I can't blame the location because I selected it without knowing the city.
Other than check in I never saw staff . This was a very small house with rooms but I was on a budget and decided on Cambridge. The rooms were clean daily, no problem. What I didn't like was POOR internet and that is something they could fix.

Everything was as promised while booking ;) thank you for letting us stay. Kettle was really appreciated after whole day in Edinburgh City in cold weather. Towels were super soft and bed very comfortable.
