The location to the city centre.
The price for 2 nights in a very small room was expensive. We purchased the rooms on a bed and breakfast basis only to find on arrival that breakfast was on a first come first served basis and only comprised of pastries, scones etc. On arriving at 8:50am there was precious little available. In addition to the above the room wasn’t serviced.

Large comfortable bed. Available secure parking.
Bedroom floor was on a slope and I know this is the character of an old building but the bed also sloped down at the bed head and could do with being levelled up. Shower and sink plugholes could have done with a good bleaching.

Staff were friendly and the check-in process was smooth. It was good for our 2x 1-night stays during our time in Edinburgh.
It is a bit old and the floors were creaky BUT it was still very clean and nicely decorated.

Staff were friendly, helpful, and the accommodation was clean and tidy.
They didn't offer any gluten free alternative for breakfast which was very disappointing
