Pretty good location, very accessible.
The rooms had a slightly musty smell. The carpet looked quite old and worn, and it was very uneven in places. I didn’t really want to think about what might be underneath it. The third bed was also quite noisy and creaky. Unfortunately, there were no large bath towels provided, and the bathroom was not as clean as we had hoped.

The location, the attention, the breakfast bar, the cleanliness. Very comfortable bed and linens, spacious room!
Size of the shower was MINUSCULE, noisy hallways and room temperature was too hot for no AC. They fixed it with a fan, though!

we booked this hotel when it had a 4 star ranking on booking. By the time we had our trip to Edinburgh the hotel had only 3 stars, and I would understand if those would reduce even more. The day we arrived the floor was not clean at all, not vacuumed, nothing. Also we did just have 2 small towels and in the bathroom were lots of hair from the previous customer. After we complained on the first day, a deep clean request was made and supposed to happen on the next day at 10AM. We get back to the hotel at like 9PM. Nothing happened not even a normal room service. would rate it 0.5/5 stars for incompetent service, poor room quality (slim walls, short bed, old flooring) and the worst is the lack of cleanliness.

Absolutely nothing it was dreadful
It was dirty mould in the bathroom, the room wasn’t cleaned the three nights we were there, the beds were not clanged and no bath towels either.

No staff, saw 1 receptionists on when arrived nobody at desk when left. No Iron in the room, Very noisy room i stayed in 97 bins behind room noise late at night and early morning. Pillows very hard. For a 4 star hotel very poor would not stay or recommend it.

Convenient for Haymarket station. Good water pressure in the shower. Good range of newspapers and a very nice lounge and lobby area. Very quiet at night, no street noise or noises from other rooms. Quality teas on offer in room and downstairs in the communal ‘pantry’. Staff were helpful and good for left luggage.
It was very expensive for what we got . No pleasant outlook from the room. The room itself was , on both occasions, very small. It was clean on first impressions- but if you moved a furniture item even very slightly the cleaning was not very thorough. One or two repairs were outstanding. Reception was frequently unstaffed and meant a wait with no bell to call anyone. The pastries provided in the morning were described as ‘free’ rather than ‘included’. No healthy food choice available.

Not at all what we ordered, plus mold in the bathroom and terrible service from the staff. We didn't stay there, but we offered to pay for one night anyway. We haven't received any refund.
