The staff at this hotel was not very attentive — I had to look for someone from reception twice, and the reception area is not easy to locate. At check-in, you simply receive a key and directions, but you need to carry your luggage yourself to the second floor, and there is no elevator. The room itself was quite small and looked more spacious in the pictures. The window only opens about 10 cm from the bottom, and there is no air conditioning, which makes it less comfortable. Even finding a hair dryer took some effort.

Location was great with an easy work into the city centre via the meadows, room was very comfortable .. had the best night sleep in weeks! Great shower too. Room was very clean too.
Price was a bit high for one nights stay but looking at similar properties for the date it was much nicer than the rest.

Nice decor; bed was comfortable; staff were friendly at check-in.
Room was very cramped and hot: temperature control was non-intuitive and the sliding sash window hard to access and open. The view from my window was an ugly - and noisy - air handling unit. There was hair from a previous occupant in the shower. Crazy number of pillows/cushions on the bed (and nowhere to put them)!

Great location, clean room, great breakfast choices at the hotel restaurant. The staff in the restaurant were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
The room was incredibly small, especially for the price. It was advertised as facing the park, but it should have also been noted as being above the outdoor bar tables. It was very hot in Edinburgh, the hotel has no air conditioning, so we had our window open; the bar was right below and it was crazy noisy till after 1 am. The hotel should consider offering ear plugs for the guests whose rooms are facing the street. The check-out process was unpleasant. The gentleman who checked us out never asked how our stay was. When I asked him to email me a copy of the room charges (I didn’t get an attachment through the app), he appeared to be irritated with the request; he took down my email address but never emailed me the statement.
