Hotel is lovely, breakfast great
The restaurant was disappointing. Won’t use it again. Male Manager was very rude to other guests. We had to wait 10 minutes for drinks then food to arrive. It wasn’t busy at the time. We weren’t asked if we would like an additional drink, or dessert. Had to ask for the bill at the bar

The room was lovely with really nice touches. Staff were friendly, good bar area. Parking on site also a bonus. It was about 20 minute walk from the centre of Edinburgh.

Lovely clean room with comfortable bed. I was lucky to have a room overlooking the park. Good location. Can walk into the Centre of Edinburgh or there is a bus stop just down the road. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Free Tunnocks teacakes replenished daily in reception!!
The road outside is quite busy so could be a problem if you're a light sleeper but there are rooms at the back of the hotel away from the road.

I stay in this hotel a lot and you are always looked after. The breakfast is nice and fresh.
I booked an upgrade to my room however, the upgrade was worse than the original room I booked. The breakfast, if you ask for something that is not on the menu however, the hotel do provide, you are told no and then when you explain they agree. This happened a few mornings in a row and it does put you off asking for something.

Wonderful
I requested a clean and peaceful room with full of light and my room matched exactly that. It's a beautiful hotel located in front of a big park, only walking distance to main highlights. Full of restaurants, cafe etc. around. Perfect for a short stay!
