Parking only £8/day
I booked a double room through Booking.com two weeks in advance and was charged £225 for two nights, breakfast excluded. Upon arrival, I discovered that the same room was being offered directly by the property for only £60 for the first night.
The following night, I requested to be moved to the correct room, namely the larger one I had originally expected.
In any case, the walls are so thin that even the slightest noise from neighbouring rooms can be clearly heard.
The spa facilities are very disappointing: the steam room is practically unusable due to the terrible smell, the sauna is extremely small, and the jacuzzi switches off every five minutes and remains off for another five minutes.

The location was excellent, making it very easy to get around and explore the area. The bedroom was spotless and comfortable.
The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The highlight was definitely the breakfast — there was a fantastic selection and everything was fresh and delicious.
I would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.

Breakfast is acceptable. However. No salmon or avocado? It’s a very popular choice for breakfast. Fairly good gluten free choices.
We weren’t keen on the fried foods available. Also, tables weren’t really cleaned to satisfactory standard (although staff were working very hard and very friendly).

Leisure centre and pool were top rate for a hotel. The gym equipment was well maintained and the pool was a joy. On site parking was plentiful and convenient but we were surprised to have to pay extra to use it.
The breakfast was disappointing, choice was more limited than expected and, in particular, the fruit salad lacked variety. The hot option had been cooked without care, with bacon left folded, part overdone, part underdone and fried eggs solid.

The staff are really helpful, making suggestions about where to go to and answering any questions. The room was large and very clean. The area is really quiet but there is a bus service which is easy to catch into Edinburgh city centre and if you just want a quiet walk, you can go down to Portobello beach,
