Great location.
44 bus or a short Uber gets you there in 15 mins from Waverley Steps.
Handy for Portobello and Musselburgh as well as Edinburgh.
Nice large room.
Spotless.
Shower could be better but was okay.

Location is good. Close to train and not far to beach.
Poor quality pillows on bed.
£8 for overnight parking when plenty of open spaces on the street. Parking should be free!
No AC - not good in summer
Rooms very dated - although room we had was larger than expected thus space is good.
Decoration basic and could do with updating throughout the hotel once past reception.
Breakfast is expensive it seems for what was on offer.

Disappointing
The room was too small. And the bed was too small. ( I'm 6'1")
They tried to get me to pay for parking which I refused to pay as I assumed it was included in the price.

Wonderful
All the staff were first class. Very friendly and went out of their way to help. A special mention to Payal who could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable and always with a smile. Also to Louise for an amazing hot stones treatment and facial. Would highly recommend her.
Room could have been a bit cleaner.

Staff were attentive and friendly, breakfast was ok, but there wasn't as much choice for the price as I would've hoped for.
Overall I'm satisfied with my stay.

I liked the rooms and the bathrooms. I liked the location,
I did not like that the Jacuzzi was closed. I did not like that. They didn’t clean our room when I asked for it to be cleaned. The mugs were not replaced. The teabags were not replenished, nor were the towels.

Lovely location perfect for both central Edinburgh (short train ride) and the coast (walkable). Pool was lovely. Spa facilities were clean. Room was clean. Staff were amazing friendly and professional.
Loads of dogs at hotel with irresponsible owners. Room view was onto grassed outside area were many hotel residents took their dogs but didn’t pick up the mess. Yapppy dog in next room was irritating. Breakfast was disappointing. Sausages very dense and bacon hard. Bacon would not cut with a knife.

This was a very well situated hotel for what I needed.
The staff were top notch, check in was so swift and friendly the staff in the dining room were brilliant on a busy Sunday and the rooms was perfect and clean

Room was ideal, large with sitting area & table.
Breakfast was enjoyed on all 3 mornings, selection of hot foods & also the continental selection
welcomed & remembered by reception staff.
House keeping staff were attentive, rooms cleaned daily. 2 members of house keeping staff on the ground floor staff, Wednesday 23rd July, were attentive & caring towards me.
Unfortunately the cost of hotels/accommodation in Edinburgh is quite expensive.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The environment was peaceful and beautifully maintained, perfect for relaxing. The highlight was definitely the superb breakfast—delicious, fresh, and with a great variety. Highly recommended!
