Absolutely wonderful experience from once we arrived until we left this fabulous hotel. Couldn't have asked for more from the wonderful staff. Everything was just amazing which made our first trip to Edinburgh a trip of a lifetime. Access to the city centre so convenient as the number 44 bus stopped outside the hotel & brought us right into city centre.
Can't think of one thing.

I've stayed here many times before for work and pleasure as I like the location.
No warning that they have started to charge parking for guests. If I had known I would have parked on the road, or booked somewhere else having guest parking was one of my reasons for booking here.

We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The room was simply furnished but warm, nice and clean also quiet.
I did like the fact you could help yourself to extra tea and coffee. Also we didn't book breakfast but could purchase a pastry and coffee at reception, great idea.
Easy to find and good parking, would stay again.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I wanted to see if i could check in early but my room wasn’t available. I was allowed to leave my bag in the store room until I checked in in the evening which was helpful. I liked that I received emails to let me know that my planned check in time was agreeable etc

Was given an upgraded room, decided before I arrived as there was a all issue in room that I'd been allocated. Staff are kind and helpful. Always cosy and warm hotel. I see friends in musselburgh and its location is great for this as well as very easy access to the city. Near the beach, nice town of Portobello. So a real mixed city/seaside location.

Staff friendly. Check in was speedy.
The room was not very clean. The extractor in the bathroom was broken. The bathroom was dirty and there was mold in bath, walls and shower head was grim.
The windows were dirty and net curtains were covered in mold.
The room needed a good clean and carpets needed washing.

Comfortable beds, fantastic pool
Expensive given how far out of Edinburgh it was. It also sent a lot of messages before the stay which seemed unnecessary
