Nice and quiet, decent bed. Freshly cooked breakfast. Staff were helpful and polite. The position of the hotel was perfect for us visiting family. It may not suit people wanting to walk to city centre attractions. It has free parking which is brilliant as it's almost impossible to park in the local area. It also has electric car charing points and excellent internet.
The hotel is Edwardian and very large. They are obviously begining a long upgrade ( internet plus charging points) but the rooms are a little tired and dated, although very clean. The restaurant is beautiful , but the food is average and quite expensive

Good value for the money. Breakfast good. Bed very comfortable.
£10 a dram Bunnahabhain 12, seriously! The whole bottle is for a bit over available £30 from Booker. I understand tourists fall for it. £6 would be enough.

Bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean and large! Breakfast was very good ... but please fix or replace the poor toast machine, it sounds like it is about to die. Staff are very friendly and genuinely look like they are happy to be there. Check in and out is simple. Plenty of parking, which is a premium in this area!
A little bit of traffic noise in the room, but after about 10pm and before 6am it was quiet.

My experience staying in this hotel has been amazing. Infact, the best feedback I can give from my side is for them to know that if I visit Edinburgh again, I will be booking my stay in the same place.
A little more variety in the breakfast menu would make it more good. Even though its not something I didn’t like. It’s just a feedback.

Whilst not directly in the city centre access via the number 11 bus is excellent. We had booked a twin room however were very pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in an almost maisonette style room with 2 separate bedrooms and a private patio! Staff as always polite, friendly and professional especially when I left my watch behind in error after checkout!
