Food was nice breakfast area needs to go back to original place as to clogged where it is. Receptionist helpful and friendly.
Having to change rooms although second room was better. Decking by door needs sorting out as dangerous. Breakfast bit of a shambles as nothing available at same time. Had to wait for food and cups to be topped up.

Hotel was fairly easy to access from the city centre and the building in itself is beautiful
Communication with staff before arrival was a little difficult, then on arrival we were told to take a very long route with multiple stairs to our rooms even though we could have taken a much quicker route with no stairs, the room was a little shabby, very poor water pressure in the shower, the sofa bed was ok for one night but I would not have wanted to spend more time on it. Overall stay was ok but not great.

- really cheap breakfast food -not the menu that was advertised fir vegetarian breakfast- the room had Broken sockets a ripped blind and no curtains! Dirty fingerprints on door and furniture and carpet were stained and worn out . All the fittings were scratched and worn out . Absolutely not worth the money atall .

The hotel building has a lot of character and is conveniently located, with easy access to public transportation into the city.
It was my birthday, and I mentioned this in my booking request. Unfortunately, the hotel didn’t acknowledge it or make any special gesture, which was a little disappointing.

Comfy beds and friendly staff and well located on bus route 11 to get into the city. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the city.
The rooms was ok but a bit tired looking with a few issues (dripping shower, poor TV reception ). The room was also very warm.
Hotels are very expensive in Edinburgh for what you get.

Excellent location . Bus stops right outside for a short ride to the city centre . Hotel in a nice quiet area . Very good breakfast . Lots of free onsite parking .

Disappointing
The situation.
We found the hotel poor value for money, and in our bedroom the ceiling leaked,, our bed got wet, and we required fresh bedding.
Also we thought breakfast was poor., not much choice.
Poor advert for Scotland.
