The historic building and views from the grounds are relaxing and pleasant.
Navigating the distance from the lobby to my room was cumbersome with luggage but once settled I was happy with restful peace.

Room was cosy and nice and warm for a cold autumn stay. Had everything we needed in the room great it had parking to. Was brilliant bus wise as on four different routes so great connections.
the rooms were a little worn but they were starting some renovations whilst we were there (at the time updating carpets in the corridor) so hopefully that's will feed through to updating the rooms but they were still good rooms.

The breakfast and staff on hand were great. The front desk was also amazing at helping us with recommendations when asked.
The room didn't have a mini fridge so that made storing suff difficult.

The atmosphere of the hotel, it was very Scottish and the staff was really nice
The breakfast was really repetitive, and the noises what the hotel made was quite annoying during the night
