Very Good
The Hotel was in a lovely part of Edinburgh and was much better value and quieter than the central hotels. The room was pleasant and clean and there was also a nice lounge or bar to sit in. Evening meal was lovely and a good choice of dishes, also breakfast was very good value and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.There are good views and Nice walks nearby.
Only disadvantage for some travellers is that there is no lift and we were on the 3rd floor so a bit of a climb with the suitcases.

On the Friday night some people running around at 12am knocking on doors complained in the morning and nothing was done also decorator in room next to us started scraping walls at 7am

Quite outdated needs a bit of restoring. The waiting staff was not very experienced and there were long waits during dinner etc

the location only
although we know we booked classic double room but there was not.enough amenties available.in the room, there was no heating in the bathroom and considering the weather in scotland it was hard to stay if you want to stay a bitol longer for shower, there were no slippers provided in the bathroom, towel.rail was not working, the housekeeping staff only changed the toileteries... no cleaning was done during our three days stay.....over all our experience was below average...

The hotel Is very outdated and the room wasn't very clean. Breakfast was good! The staff was good with our 2 year old daughter.

The location
The room was freezing, radiator didn't work it was replaced with a heater which took ages to heat up. The blind and cord was hanging down in the room as it was a loft slanted window and did not even cover the window. The cord was such a safety hazard! I also requested chocolate covered strawberries for my partner which weren't provided and still didn’t provide them when told to receptionist. We were also really disappointed that the room was full of dust.

Half of the room seemed nice, lamps, it has a bathtub
location is not good, far from center and even if the bus leaves you in front of the hotel it takes an eternity to get there because of the traffic, maybe 45 min. I wasn’t given the room shown in the photo and that was supposed to be mine. There is no room service and the breakfast is just regular not much variety, wouldn’t repeat. Asked for a pizza, was cold and maybe frozen one

Location was chosen to easily reach a nearby appointment. Food was very good.
Room was in need of refurbishment, mentioned this to reception staff on departure. Some of the fittings in the dining area need a deep clean.
