Wonderful
Location is great! Quiet neighborhood and short walk away to everything.
Bedroom was tiny with a tiny bed. I booked a queen bed but it seemed much smaller for my husband and I.

Pleasant
Location was excellent and quiet. The views were incredible from our room! The main areas were well kept, classic, and sophisticated. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful.
There was an awful blue light that shown in our room all night long. The whole room looked like a rave at 2am. The shower taps were really challenging, the sinks were small, and the curtains didn't block any light from the outside. The amenities did NOT match the price. We were left wishing we would have spent a little more money and booked the other hotel we found that had more amenities on site.

The hotel was charming with that old world charm. Cozy and warm vibe. Very quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Loved the shower, it had the best water flow. Its near haymarket. Quiet and nice part of town.
Our remote was missing and room wasn't ready even though it was after 3PM.

I loved the aesthetics and vibes of the place, and the history was really cool. The breakfast was great too! I also enjoyed using the library in the evenings to get some work done.
It’s a me problem, not a property problem, but the air fresheners after a couple of days caused me to sneeze and develop some low grade allergies.

Good
Rooms were ok & quite comfortable. Location is decent on a nice road about 20 minutes walk from central area. Good breakfast. Lovely old building with some great period features.
It was impossible to see TV in room unless you sat at desk right in front of it. There was nobody on reception for about 15 minutes when we arrived & we had to wait until somebody arrived. Some modern features spoil overall feel & atmosphere eg neon lights in wood panelled bar area. Lift is painfully slow and there are a lot of stairs if you don’t use it.

The property was absolutely gorgeous! The staff was so friendly and the food was great!
The elevator they had was super slow and it was relatively inconvenient to travel up and down the stairs. There were bus stops about a 10 minute walk away, which wasn’t too terrible

Location was great and so was breakfast.
Television didn’t work after asking twice about how to fix it. Our hair dryer looked like it was from the 90s and it didn’t work then they gave us a new one that stopped working after 1 minute of use.

Breakfast all you could wish for from fruit to fry-up, staff ran to-and-fro for us and were very friendly all the time. Room sleeping under the skylight [Rm 119] was 'thrilling' - fell asleep watching the moon and the stars! Location was beautiful, tranquil, almost no traffic noise, handy for the bus and tram, walking distance to Dean Village, Water of Leith, Modern One and Two, Haymarket, city centre ... FAB-U-LOUS! And of course the whole building was classically beautiful, for example I just could have spent the days reading in the Library.
I didn't dislike anything.

Amazing property! This is a charming hotel. We didn’t want to leave. The staff were lovely and the cooked breakfast featured generous portions. Located in a gorgeous neighborhood that allowed for quiet nights. We will stay here again.

Nice big room, decent free wifi, tasty breakfast and lovely view out over part of the city.
I arranged a late check-out with front desk staff on check-in, but wasn't told that would cost me anything extra. I was only given 1 hour beyond the normal check-out time; but then presented with demand to pay £10 extra as part of check-out. And the staff refused to waive that payment. That part was not good customer experience or care.

Wonderful
The property was beautiful, located on a quiet street! Room was small, but very comfortable. We had a nice view! Breakfast was descent! They also had a small menu you could order off of!
A bit removed from town center! The lack of electrical outlets in the room! Made it tough to blow dry my hair, especially when phones needed charging!!
