Disappointing
The loacation is really excellent, very safe neighbourhood and close to points of interest. Front desk staff was very welcoming and caring. The house itself is beautiful and the bar and library are stunning.
The breakfast was not really acceptable. Staff was clearly overwhelmed, which is a management issue and not their personal fault. The buffet was not refilled, there were no baked goods at all, not even bread, available (empty plates). No cups were refilled to get coffee for about 30 minutes. It took ages until we were able to order. Then they brought us the wrong plates. Then our plates were brought to the wrong table. I got no bread at all with my full british breakfast. The tea (which to me, is pretty essential, no?) that I ordered was never brought over. I would have asked for it, but staff was never available although it was not that busy. The food quality overall was medium okay. The best came last: the table next to us was served a RAW sausage. I am really understanding about issues when there's a lot going on, but this simply cannot happen. It's a food safety violation. On its own, these issues would not have bothered me (except the raw sausage...), but all in all the breakfast was so bad that I cannot recommend the b&b to anyone.
Our room was in the basement, which was okay, but there were people smoking next to our window which you could smell.
The bathroom should have a shelf for toiletries.

Very Poor
The building was nice
The room was terrible there was no room temperature regulation. On top of that the shower had a fixed head the ceilings very low on the top of our head it was not comfortable for two guests

The property was absolutely gorgeous! The staff was so friendly and the food was great!
The elevator they had was super slow and it was relatively inconvenient to travel up and down the stairs. There were bus stops about a 10 minute walk away, which wasn’t too terrible

Poor
Good location.
Staff nice.
Room 20 in the attic. Bed under the eaves so sitting up in bed wasn't an option. Found a crawlie in the bed and on closer inspection of the mattress, found it to be filthy and stained. Not what I would expect for a room costing upwards of £300 per night.

The staff was super awesome and very helpful.
The room was kind of claustrophobic and very dull.
The energy was very negative in the room.

Fair
Location was great and so was breakfast.
Television didn’t work after asking twice about how to fix it. Our hair dryer looked like it was from the 90s and it didn’t work then they gave us a new one that stopped working after 1 minute of use.

Very Good
The building. Most of the staff.
The breakfast on our first morning was poor, very little on the continental buffet, we weren't offered a breakfast menu. On the second morning with a different staff member these issues were rectified.
We had an attic room with a sloping roof which made it impossible to sit up in bed and watch the tv without banging our heads. A second easy chair at the table would have been nice.

Wonderful
Beautiful building and good location.
I appreciate one staff member was off ill but breakfast on first day, not great. We were there for quite some time about 40 mins before our order was taken and there were no pastries.
