Pleasant
Very well decorated and quality finish
Staff didn't try, laughed when we questioned if there was a lift to the top floor and one of the 2 lads could have offered to carry bags up when we checked in. I had not seen reviews about the stairs and although we are fit enough its a lot of stairs for anyone old to carry bags to the rooms. Room was very noisy. We struggled to sleep

very good brekfast, but the room didn't have fredge, so we could not keep our water cold or any fruts in the room. But the room in general was very nice
The breakfast was very good, and the room was generally very nice. However, there was no fridge in the room, so we couldn’t keep our water cold or store any fruit.

Had to book at the last minute. Convenient location in new town area and great restaurants close by. Also easy access to explore Leith as well as more centrally located sites in Edinburgh.

It was very comfortable and beautiful, with close proximity to everything. We were delighted when the staff offered to hold our bags before our room was ready and again after check out so we could have more time to enjoy the city unencumbered by our luggage.
We would like the option for a mini fridge to keep our food and drinks.

Staff responded quickly to complaints.
Hotel in excellent location.
Breakfast very good, but did miss that there was no fresh fruit salad
First room: given key card and left to climb 4 flights of stairs( 80 and 74 years) to discover even more stairs in bedroom.No air conditioning and room unbearably hot, despite small fan. After complaining we were moved to a small first floor room. Very tall husband would have struggled to use tiny shower unit.

Friendly staff, great room, very central location, everywhere walkable from this hotel, hotel itself was clean, quiet, breakfast exceptional, cannot recommend it enough.
