Had to book at the last minute. Convenient location in new town area and great restaurants close by. Also easy access to explore Leith as well as more centrally located sites in Edinburgh.

Close to shops and restaurants and public transportation.
No place to put luggage except floor.

It was very comfortable and beautiful, with close proximity to everything. We were delighted when the staff offered to hold our bags before our room was ready and again after check out so we could have more time to enjoy the city unencumbered by our luggage.
We would like the option for a mini fridge to keep our food and drinks.

Staff responded quickly to complaints. Hotel in excellent location. Breakfast very good, but did miss that there was no fresh fruit salad
First room: given key card and left to climb 4 flights of stairs( 80 and 74 years) to discover even more stairs in bedroom.No air conditioning and room unbearably hot, despite small fan. After complaining we were moved to a small first floor room. Very tall husband would have struggled to use tiny shower unit.

No lift in the hotel, stairs hard to climb and no handrail at the last part of the stairs when climbing from floor 1- No refrigerator in the room Minimal toiletries. This hotel is classed 4 stars and as standars should have all the facilities of a 4 stars hotel. The breakfast is very expensive and is requested to pay for every coffe, never had a continental breakfast where i had to pay for the coffe. The choice is very limited and arriving at 9 am there was hardly what to eat.
