Location
The staff. Especially the person who checked us in. He was rude and a bit hostile. The lady at the checkout was lovely.

Lovely communally decorated parts. The bathroom was excellent. The range of teas/coffees were fine. Excellent range of toiletries. Very friendly staff.
The room was very boring in terms of its decoration and there was a small blood/coffee mark on my bedside locker.
Only one type of biscuit in the room which was poor.

Tram stops right outside. Short walk to the heart of Edinburgh. Like a boutique hotel - chique with nice decor plus chocolates for guests at reception! Ample sized room with a great bathroom. Well decorated throughout. Warm, comfortable and quiet. Excellent value for money too
All good, but be aware there is no elevator to the upper floors, so don't bring a big suitcase

Checked in pretty late due to delays from work. Room was clean and the facilities were great. Location was perfect and walking distance for the train station approximately 5/10 minutes walk.
Slightly on the small side but for the price, its not too bad.

Location was great hotel was very clean and rooms were very spacious and comfortable. All the staff are so welcoming and accommodating would not hesitate to recommend this hotel

The staff were lovely. The room and bathroom were bright and clean with a good supply of toiletries and tea/coffee facilities. I took breakfast at the hotel on one morning; there was a good range of options available and the food was great.
Be aware that it is an older building and the rooms have no sound proofing, I could hear every conversation from the adjacent rooms - this isn't too disruptive during the day but not great when trying to sleep! Take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. (The hotel doesn't have any available to purchase on site.)
