No parking and a up hill walk with bags from nearest car park, also need to request a code or book online in advance for discount for car park for 2 nights with out it was expensive

The hotel was perfectly located between the historical city center and Calton Hill, making it very easy to reach all points of interest by foot. Besides, a second hotel entrance directed to the train station, which was really practical for daytrips. The area nearby the hotel was filled with restaurants and malls, so we had everything we needed at a very short walking distance. On the other hand, the hotel room was very comfortable and spatious. The same goes for the bathroom, which was filled with all the necessary ameneities. We had breakfast in the hotel a couple of times and we found it a very good price for money alternative in Edinburgh. Overall, we had a really great experience at the hotel!
The main drawback we found was that one of the elevators was out of service, resulting in severe waiting times in rush hours.

The location was really convenient for getting to the main tourist areas and also the new town. Very convenient for access to the station. The staff were nice and helpful when we needed extra milk for brews. The bathroom was lovely and the room was a really comfortable temperature. We didn't have time to use the spa, but it was nice to have the option. I would definitely consider this hotel again.
Unfortunately the internet signal both on our phones mobile data and also using the hotel WiFi was really poor. I'm not sure why it was like this, maybe the construction of the hotel?

The location was great. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The duplex deluxe room is false advertisement. Nothing deluxe about it. Carpets covered in stains, marks all over the walls, grubby stains all over the furniture (Can only imagine what a black light would show up). Would not recommend booking this room especially with the premium price that’s being asked. Furniture is cheep and well worn showing signs of damage and wear and tear. Decorations also look like something that was purchased out of BnM or Home bargains.

Good quality & value breakfast. We had a free upgrade, so what was there not to like about the room! Location of hotel excellent for railway station & art galleries. Had a very good meal in hotel in evening too.
Nothing you can do about this one but a bigger swimming pool! It's not big & is a quarter taken up with steps across the width of the pool.

Overall a great experience - good location, clean room and loved the sauna/pool possibility after a long day of city walking.
The only minus is that you dont get a bathrobe and slippers which is only for some rooms. It should be included in every room at least.
