Location excellent for shopping, exploring and eating. We took a tour that departed across the road from the hotel. Couldnt have been easier. We took a taxi from the airport but the lift took you straight to the underground. How neat!
The room (superior) was spacious and well designed.
The pillows were a little bit too big for my taste but I am sure if I asked they have smaller pillows to lend out. I also prefer single duvets but the bed had a double duvet.

Perfect location, close to train, tours, Royal Mile, etc. Room had all amenities, clean and comfortable. Nice back door to rail station.
Elevator sometimes went where it wanted to.

Easy to get to from train station and all the places we wanted to visit . Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very nice and plenty of choice.

No hot water during 1st night. No communication from reception when restored.
Blinds in the room were all broken.

Room too cold during the day, too hot at night. Almost impossible to get it right!
At breakfast the hot self serve food was barely warm and the plates were cold.
One evening in the bar my wife and I had a g&t. When we finished we placed the empty glasses on the edge of the table and waited 15 minutes to be asked if we wanted another.The young man and lady behind the bar were too busy laughing and joking with eachother .They then left and another young lady appeared. She immediately approached us and asked if we wanted another drink. Automatically adding a service charge to the bill is out of order when the service is poor
