Room too cold during the day, too hot at night. Almost impossible to get it right!
At breakfast the hot self serve food was barely warm and the plates were cold.
One evening in the bar my wife and I had a g&t. When we finished we placed the empty glasses on the edge of the table and waited 15 minutes to be asked if we wanted another.The young man and lady behind the bar were too busy laughing and joking with eachother .They then left and another young lady appeared. She immediately approached us and asked if we wanted another drink. Automatically adding a service charge to the bill is out of order when the service is poor

The pool and gym facilities were lovely. The sauna and steam room were great. The location is superb. Staff at check-in were friendly and patient with me while I was extremely tired from a 27hr journey from Sydney.
I requested a quiet room, which we got, however, this unfortunately required a lot of stairs with our heavy suitcases. Had I known, I would have accepted another room. Food and glasses were often left in the stair doorway from other guests overnight. Some issues with the room, which were rectified after I submitted the initial survey but multiple calls to reception were not answered. The breakfast came to us cold and not very flavoursome.

Got a free upgrade on arrival, and as this was a birthday trip they had left a complimentary desert plate in the room on arrival! Staff were super friendly and helpful, bar was beautiful and relaxing, food at breakfast was delicious. All round very enjoyable stay!
Could get a little noisy at night outside, but to be expected in a hotel in a busy area!

Room was amazing, met every expectation with a super comfortable bed, and amenities and facilities that were up to spec.
The room had a broken blind on the window but maintenance wedged it / fixed it within an hour.
There was nothing to dislike really.
