You can’t beat this location. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet.
It’s an awkward trek to some rooms involving lots of stairs as this is a very old building. Our room was great but showed some wear, specifically the glass shower door which sounded like it was going to break from the supporting wall. There were some minor cleanliness issues in the shower but overall the room and property were very clean. Our room was large but very sparsely furnished and decorated. A few pieces of art and maybe an additional chair would have made it more cozy.

booked this hotel to celebrate my daughters 21st the hotel went above and beyond to give us a comfortable stay, the staff were amazing, the room was incredible fabulous breakfast, cant wait to come and stay again 5 star service loved every second

The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. David on reception was especially lovely and upgraded us to a better room, added on late check out and complementary breakfast as we were celebrating our 20th anniversary.
The location is perfect, very central to all Edinburgh's attractions and the train station.
The room was very nice with views over the rooftops. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we had a great sleep.
Great facilities, tea tray, good hairdryer and robes & slippers provided.
The shower was a little cold and it couldn't be turned up any hotter.
The pool area was okay but a bit too cold for our liking.
