Very Good
We had a nice stay at Apex Waterloo Place. The location was excellent and one of the biggest advantages—we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go in Edinburgh.
Our room was clean and comfortable, although it had a small window without much of a view. Check-in and check-out were both easy and straightforward, and the staff was helpful in arranging a taxi to the airport for our early departure.
Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay with a great location for exploring Edinburgh.

Excellent hotel in a very convenient location. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, with plenty of space to relax. Everything was well maintained and we had a very pleasant stay.

Wonderful
Walkable to points of interest. The room was spacious and complimentary snacks, Nespresso coffee and bottle water was provided. Temple Spa products were great. Calton Hill is a few minutes walk where you can see the sunset. Comfortable bed so we rested well during our 4 night stay.
Quiet neighborhood. Staff specifically Drisha , Yemi and front desk were accommodating and responsive to our every needs especially when it came to keeping our larger luggage while we had a trip to the Outer Hebrides. They made our birthday trip special with complimentary sweets in our room and mimosas for breakfast.
The second tv wasn’t readily available to turn on. The couch could be updated.

The Apex Waterloos is located in a perfect spot in Edinburgh right below Calton Hill. The staff is very friendly and are willing to take the time to work through any questions that you may have. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are particularly great as they have nice showers and large bath tubs in most rooms.

The location is ok for the fringe festival.
The room was extremely small. The window looked out to multiple dumpsters and garbage cans. The toilet barely flushed and water in the toilet was constantly running making it difficult to sleep. There was no luggage rack. To access the elevator you have to carry your luggage up four stairs, and down the stairs to leave. No one helps with this. I thought I had booked at a luxury hotel, but for my room, in the basement overlooking garbage with a broken toilet, I felt like a fool for having spent so much money. They did send an email asking how things were and after my comments offered us late check-out and complimentary breakfast. That was appreciated. Make sure you look at the square feet of the room and the floor it's on.

Wonderful
We loved the location. Not on the Royal Mile which was quite crowded and noisy( we were visiting during the Fringe Festival and the military Tattoo) but close enough to everything we wanted to see. Nice large bathroom and comfortable beds. Cute welcome goodies on the bed too.

There is no parking. Had to park 3 blocks away. Staff were not helpful in directing us where to go. Expensive hotel room was 3 stories below grade in a dank smelly basement. Elevators were small slow and always full. Room was very small.

Nice location
Right outside my room was the loading dock and trash area. At 6:30am the loading and unload of trash and merchandise started waking me up and not allowing me to sleep any further. At $400 a night I expect a better experience. I complained to reception but nothing happened.

The location was excellent. The staff was mediocre. One of the elevators was not working for the three days we were there so it was very inconvenient. The breakfast was mediocre because it was the same every morning.

Wonderful
Great location and very nice hotel with restaurant and separate bar that also serves food. There is a spa which I would have liked to use but didn't have time and a small gym. Our room was quiet and clean.
The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. It was like lying on the floor, it was so hard.
We didn't eat in the restaurant but did have a snack one afternoon in the bar and drinks one evening. The bar staff could have been a wee bit friendlier.

What a lovely hotel! The location is excellent - an easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Everything was very elegant and clean, with nice touches like flavored water in the lobby. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. There were lots of restaurant options nearby.
