Wonderful
Excellent location close to the Royal Mile. Great and freshly made breakfast. Clean and comfortable room with a large and well-designed bathroom. Some free room service, e.g. fresh milk for the coffee.

We went to the Snow Patrol concert at the Castle, so the location of the hotel was perfect. The reception staff were lovely and helpful. We were allocated a room on the second floor, but it felt quite dark, there was a light flickering and the view was non existent, we phoned and asked for room move which was dealt with quicky and efficiently to the 7th floor.

The lift/elevator was out of order, and it caused overcrowding in the remaining lift. On occasion creating long waits to go anywhere.

The size of the room and location were good.
Mainly, the staff were not clear about the room when we checked in. Also, as it is a kind of expensive 4-star hotel, it must be explained in advance that there is no view to look out. One of the lifts was not functioning. And all the people staying there and maintenance staff needed use only one lift which was not very good.

Almost everything. The hotel was unclean, the breakfast was miserable with fake scrambled eggs, the TV was v old.

Lovely quiet room 1004 with great view, comfortable bed Receptionists were all friendly and helpful Good location, handy for Waverley Station Luggage Storage facility meant we could make the most of our stay

The room was large, but rather sparsely furnished. The breakfast was very good with a good choice of foods. the location of the hotel was very good.
The lift - only one was working and had been out of order for several months we were informed.
