Very Good
The location was excellent. The staff was mediocre. One of the elevators was not working for the three days we were there so it was very inconvenient. The breakfast was mediocre because it was the same every morning.
better variety in breakfast

Exceptional service by every member of staff from reception to cleaners to bar staff to restaurant.
Choice at breakfast, delicious bar food and room service . Very good delicious , value for money Sunday lunch . We were very busy as so much to do in Edinburgh so apart from this and breakfast did not have any other meal in the restaurant . Ideal location but quiet at night for a city .

Wonderful
Great location and very nice hotel with restaurant and separate bar that also serves food. There is a spa which I would have liked to use but didn't have time and a small gym. Our room was quiet and clean.
The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. It was like lying on the floor, it was so hard.
We didn't eat in the restaurant but did have a snack one afternoon in the bar and drinks one evening. The bar staff could have been a wee bit friendlier.

Great location. Like the amenities, such as putting a full water bottle in the fridge and having water dispensers in the lobby.
Elevators were a bit slow

What a lovely hotel! The location is excellent - an easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Everything was very elegant and clean, with nice touches like flavored water in the lobby. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. There were lots of restaurant options nearby.
Nothing - we loved it!

The location was excellent. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and pleasantly bright, which I really appreciated. I would definitely stay here again.
The reception staff could be a little friendlier and more welcoming.

We had a great stay at this lovely, centrally located hotel, celebrating our wedding anniversary in Edinburgh, visiting the Fringe, sightseeing and watching the Tattoo for my husband's 60th. I booked a year in advance and it was not cheap, but absolutely worth it. We had a deluxe room which was spotlessly clean and absolutely enormous, with an equally enormous bathroom with a walk in shower AND large bath. There was a birthday balloon, duck and chocolates awaiting us in the room for my husband's 60th. The bed was large and so comfortable : despite the busy street outside, we slept like logs and the double glazing ensured silence in the room itself. I used the pool, sauna and steam room mid afternoon and had it to myself. It was lovely and relaxing down there. We also ate in the Brasserie as a treat for our wedding anniversary and the food was amazing (taste and presentation) and they made us a special chocolate treat for our anniversary after the meal. Thw wine was exceptional and the service and surroundings very good and delightfully quiet and intimate despite the hotel being so central and Edinburgh so busy in August. In fact, the hotel corridors were blissfully quiet throughout our stay. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful, restaurant staff also smiley and friendly. The breakfast was excellent : full buffet, but waiter served mains. My husband's Scottish breakfast was enormous and very tasty. I had the omelette one day and the smoked salmon and scrambled egg the next. Both delicious and nicely presented. .We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again. It is well worth the August price and we were made to feel very special. Thank you!

Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice and served to your table which was an added bonus
The rooms were quiet, clean and big enough to move around in
Loved having the cold water and milk in fridge and also the body wash and shampoos
A robe for going down to swim as just had to wrap towel around us so a robe would have helped
The pillows were the worst I’ve ever had!,, could not sleep very well with them so had a restless night
Investment in some proper pillows would be gd
