Location was super. Breakfast was excellent. Spacious room!
The bathroom was huge which was really nice. However, two things that were annoying. One, there is one switch that turns on the light and then also the fan. The fan has a decibel level of a jet plane that is about to take off. It is exceptionally loud. There should be switches: one for the light and the second for the fan and the loudness of the fan needs to be addressed. Two, for a huge bathroom there is one tiny (really tiny) hook to put a towel. The towels have to be put hanging over the tub after you use them. Understand creating a minimalist aesthetic, however, not practical in particular for a hotel bathroom.

The staff were exceptional. The room given to us was relatively small with construction be carried on right outside our windows with early morning workers and noise even early 6:30 am on Sunday morning. The activity of getting another room was provided with minor delays and mishaps. Room service provided a wrong selection and no silverware, but the staff was new and they recovered nicely.
The construction at the back of the hotel and the city water/sewer construction in the front of the hotel was rather unpleasant.

We stayed here twice. The first time we stayed in a suite which was fantastic, the second time we stayed in a double room which was mediocre. The room was ok, very dark (this may have been because we were on the bottom floor, or what felt like the basement). Facilities such as the spa are nice but very basic. Location however is fantastic. Nice venue, and I understand you’re paying for the location - but very overpriced for the rooms themselves.

Walkable to points of interest. The room was spacious and complimentary snacks, Nespresso coffee and bottle water was provided. Temple Spa products were great. Calton Hill is a few minutes walk where you can see the sunset. Comfortable bed so we rested well during our 4 night stay.
Quiet neighborhood. Staff specifically Drisha , Yemi and front desk were accommodating and responsive to our every needs especially when it came to keeping our larger luggage while we had a trip to the Outer Hebrides. They made our birthday trip special with complimentary sweets in our room and mimosas for breakfast.
The second tv wasn’t readily available to turn on. The couch could be updated.

We had a nice stay at Apex Waterloo Place. The location was excellent and one of the biggest advantages—we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go in Edinburgh.
Our room was clean and comfortable, although it had a small window without much of a view. Check-in and check-out were both easy and straightforward, and the staff was helpful in arranging a taxi to the airport for our early departure.
Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay with a great location for exploring Edinburgh.

Excellent hotel in a very convenient location. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, with plenty of space to relax. Everything was well maintained and we had a very pleasant stay.
