Staff - super polite, precise, reacting fast on any request. Invoice - no problem. Changing a kettle (previous guest burned it) - was done immediately. Extra toilet paper - no problem. Last day, I asked just for a coffee - I received it for free.
We appreciated a room on the 9th floor. It was spacious. Windows well isolated from noise. Air conditioning worked perfectly - we were there on very hot days.
Room service - I recommend their fish and chips :) Delicious!
Location - the best. Short, on a flat surface, walk to the Airport bus. A lively commerce in the neighborhood. Bus stop just in front of the hotel.
Wooden shelf in the bathroom with visible damage caused by water. At this place a different material, resistant to water would be better. A stain on the carpet below the desk. Staff should pay attention to this when cleaning the room.
Only instant coffee available in the room - only a kettle was available in the room. But we could get coffee in the bar downstairs.
The windows in the room - not washed for a long time.

Great location a short walk to the old town. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed with huge bathroom. Large bottles of water replenished daily.
It’s a large hotel with only 2 elevators, and one was out of service for 12 weeks. At peak times the wait was very long.

Fantastic breakfast with lots of choices on the buffet along with menu items from the kitchen. Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine were expertly prepared with perfect poached eggs, excellent bacon and fresh spinach.
The route to Waverley Station was accessible from "0" level 50 meters outside the basement door.
I'm not certain whether or not it was because we had reserved through Booking.com, but we were assigned a disability bathroom which made for a very wet floor since there's no shower door.

- Helpful staff especially at Front Desk, in Spa and in Liberté restaurant.
There was only one lift as the other is being refurbished, which is a long-term project.

The rooms were comfortable and nicely laid-out with furniture and all. I like the extra touches (and still have the rubber duck provided by the room). It was in a GREAT part of town, right by the train station, within steps of Calton Hill, a short walk to The Royal Mile, it was a great place.
