Location. 5 minutes walk from Waverley train station. Lots of cafe close to the hotel. A shopping mall right behind. Absolutely lovely hotel staff.

Breakfast served a la carte was a nice touch. The room was big and had a seperate shower and bath.
You can see that everything is already used for long time.

Close to all attractions, with spacious and clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Nice little touches, like biscuits to have with a cuppa, were much appreciated. The staff were lovely throughout our stay.
We stayed on the reception level, so had no issues with the lift. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby, and a small Sainsbury’s about a 5-minute walk away.
About a 6 min walk from the airport bus.
Breakfast was limited with selections and the hot breakfast was served lukewarm.

Close to station. Smart modern and comfortable very clean. Super staff in reception and bar. Perfect breakfast food.
Breakfast Service and staff completely haphazard and some were quite rude and unhelpful so we chose breakfast delivered to the room which was better but items were missed such as knives and forks!

Location was absolutely outstanding - close to the train station, close to main shops and a beautiful short walk to Royal mile. We chose to do a big bus tour that started literally outside the hotel.
Breakfast was delicious.
The standout though was the staff. Every single member of staff we came across was so so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. My mum and I even queued at reception as we were leaving the hotel for the last time simply to give the reception staff this feedback.
As a result we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone.
The room itself was ok, not outstanding. However I think perfectly reasonable for the price - so all in all I don't have an issue. I consciously decided not to spend a fortune on a luxury hotel room but was pleasantly surprised by the level of service we were given.

Conveniently located near Princes St and the Royal Mile in Edinburgh; it's expensive as you'd expect but the room quality was excellent and staff friendly.
