The location is really good, pretty close to calton hill and Christmas market. But apart from the location, nothing much good and everything was okayish to mediocre.
I can say one thing with gurrantee, choose any room and you will find that the furniture and everything in the room is pretty dated and and is at least 10 years old. The rooms are spacious enough but the beds are not comfortable and they have that cheap bouncy feel and not a soft comfortable feel to it. The TV is literally a 13 year old model and it does not have netflix or any other smart features because it's so old. Expected bathroom to be bigger for the size as well. Also very limited options in the breakfast as well and it's not worth to pay so much for such limited variety. All in all, have lived in better hotels than this one and will not probably choose Apex Hotels again. I booked another accommodation after this stay at this hotel during the same trip in Edinburgh and found it to be much better in terms of quality and value for money. Hope my review helps.

The location was very central so it was super comfortable to go around town, the staff was very thoughtful (including people at the bar). It's great for a few days to go around Edinburgh!

The location was excellent, very quiet in the rooms and the rooms were very clean and had what you needed. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The reception area and bar was a lovely welcome. The bathroom facilities were great too.
The beds were a little uncomfortable and so were the pillows, everything else was excellent!

Comfortable and quiet room. The a la carte fixed price breakfast was excellent. Biscuits and a plastic duck were offered along with the usual tea and coffee facilities.

Excellent location. Excellent breakfast. Lovely staff.
Room was very hot and air con controls didn’t work. Reception sent someone to fix this. The options then, through the night, were boiling hot or freezing cold - there was no in between. Very hard to sleep unfortunately.
