Excellent Location, Very quirky layout and Lovely bar!
For the price, the room wasn’t very well detailed. Big paint scuffs, black in the silicone, old windows didn’t look great and ceiling rooflight clearly had water damage which hasn’t been fully repaired. Nothing overly bad, but for the costs of it, it could have been presented better.

A wonderfully modernised hotel offering a splendid room, and just minutes from Waverley Station. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Just get that lift fixed - with only one in operation, wait times can be a bit long.

Only one elevator working, staff also used this elevator for everything even room service. One time staff joined elevator of 6 people with food on trolley uncovered, not very hygienic.

Fantastic breakfast with lots of choices on the buffet along with menu items from the kitchen. Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine were expertly prepared with perfect poached eggs, excellent bacon and fresh spinach.
The route to Waverley Station was accessible from "0" level 50 meters outside the basement door.
I'm not certain whether or not it was because we had reserved through Booking.com, but we were assigned a disability bathroom which made for a very wet floor since there's no shower door.

I raised 2points.
A/I found the very fancy big DEEP bath very dangerous . It was VERY Difficult to get out of it ,and In order to do so I had to fill it to the brim , float and slide out in a horizontal position . NO hand rails to help one in and out ! Dangerous , no warning signage .
B/No toilet brushes ! Embararassing , especially if one shares a room with somebody else . I would rather clean the mess myself .
C/ lifts confusing but I gather hs to be !

- Great location for train, bus and tourist sites
- Helpful staff especially at Front Desk, in Spa and in Liberté restaurant.
There was only one lift as the other is being refurbished, which is a long-term project.

This was our second stay at this lovely hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is exceptional! The ambient in the bar was nice and relaxing. Staff are friendly and professional.

Great location, huge room.
Broken lift meant queues for the one working lift which in a very busy hotel caused a few issues, especially as we were on the ninth floor.
