The rooms were comfortable and nicely laid-out with furniture and all. I like the extra touches (and still have the rubber duck provided by the room). It was in a GREAT part of town, right by the train station, within steps of Calton Hill, a short walk to The Royal Mile, it was a great place.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. There was a good selection and other items were available from the menu. This location can’t be topped. Staff members were friendly and very helpful. Transportation was readily available. When we called from home looking for a left item, it was found and the staff arranged to have it mailed to us. We really appreciated the extra effort.
A sign telling us to check the QR code for additional information would have been helpful. We elders are not as technically adept. We weren’t aware of some items, e.g. suitcase stand, because we didn’t check that out. Lighting was adequate.

Location was convenient and bathtub was lovely which was the main reason we chose the hotel.
Elevators were out of service and so slow that despite being on the tenth floor a couple times we had to walk. A lot of things felt run down like the door was sticky, the couch was all scratched up, etc. also, the thermostat wasn’t working properly.

We liked everything, the location, the room the facilities. The food was excellent so we had lunch and dinner there as well as breakfast each morning. We enjoyed chatting to Erik. The staff were extremely helpful.

Outstanding front desk staff. They go above and beyond to make sure the customer is taken care of. The location is perfect if you are arriving/departing by train. It is directly across the street (at the basement level) from the train station (ask the front desk). It is pretty close to the Royal Mile, but not as close to restaurants and other historic locations as Grassmarket hotel locations. Rooms are nice. Breakfast is very good.

Good location with access to many places on Prince Street and the Royal Mile, within the Old Town and New Town Vicinity.
One elevator has been broken since we checked in and checked out, which was four days and three nights.
They did not follow up on the deadbolt repairs; it was removed from the door when we checked the room. They could have moved us to a different room or at least reduced the room rate for the inconvenience. The room rate was insane for poor service.
