The Hotel was very conveniently located for our needs. Staff were generally on hand when we needed them, which was perhaps more often than we expected. The bed was very comfortable, and the standards of cleaning were good.
We feel our room was grossly overpriced for the facilities on offer. The Queen room we were given was very cramped, and had little storage if any for our clothes, which meant us effectivey needing to use our suitcases to store our clothes. The need to use our suitcases abstracted from the already imited space available in our room. The water pressure in the shower was variable, and the seal at the bottom of the shower door didnt seal to the bath properly, meaning the floor easily got flooded. There was no plug in the sink, necessitating the use of the bath plug in the sink. There were no hooks or other places to hang up our wet towels after showering. The television had an intermittent colour fault, which the Hotel technician diagnosed as being due to a poor signal - although we are not convinced about that. The room thermostat did not work consistently, giving a rather variable room temperature. The food offer in the Restuarant on Sunday evening was limited to a grossly overpriced Pizza and Pasta menu with no side dishes. We were unable to dine in the Hotel on our arrival date as the Restaurant was fully booked before we checked in. Having been travellling for most of the day, this was not what we needed. The Breakfast food on offer was already depleted at about 09:30 on Sunday morning, although it was stated that Breakfast ran until 10:00. The Bread on offer for Toast at Breakfast was an extremely basic Hovis loaf, which given the money we paid, we thought was very poor value. Even the quantity of tea bags and milk sachets in our room was limited, necessitatng frequent visits to reception to obain further supplies.

Lovely hotel in a great location , the room was spacious, very clean and the bed was super comfy. Just a 10 minute walk from city centre and amenities. I will definitely use this hotel again

Very clean and welcoming staff. Spacious room and nice personal touches on the TV etc.
Bed itself was very comfortable but pillows on the bed really let it down. They were of awful quality with no support at all making a comfortable sleep seem like wishful thinking.

Location perfect for the Rugby at Murrayfeild, breakfast was excellent and good value for money, Room was clean and comfortable, only issue was lack of natural lighting, but our room was on the forth floor which has small windows in the roof space, but otherwise everything was good

Clean, walking distance from the city centre
We arrived for Breakfast on the 2nd morning to be told there was only cold available as the chef had called in sick.
They did however, refund everyone who had paid for this as its £12.50PP
