Every member of staff we met were very friendly and helpful, they were a credit to the hotel.
The bed was very comfortable.
The room was warm.
The shower had cracked and loose tiles in the shower tray.
Each morning there was standing water on the window ledge- there’s clearly an issue with ventilation which explains the smell of damp in the room.

The location of this hotel was excellent; a short bus ride away from the centre of Edinburgh, and also on the tram and trainline. The staff were also accommodating as well - when we had issues, they did try to address them and were apologetic. The cooked breakfast was also good, quick and easy to organise and access.
We had real problems with our bathroom; the shower barely functioned (inconsistent water pressure and also temperature). One of the handles of the bath's hot water fell off immediately, and the bath plug was also broken. Although they did get maintenance to come to fix the handle, the plug problem wasn't addressed and staff consistently delayed our switching of rooms, to the point where we gave up asking for it.
The pillows were very poor, and housekeeping didn't come on one of the days. We were out for the entire morning and came back for half an hour in the mid-afternoon, and that meant our room wasn't cleaned.

Loved the location and the breakfast was excellent with a fantastic staff member overseeing the entire dining area on his own on a very busy Sunday morning.
The welcome name on tv not updated so a different guests name on screen when you arrive, not very professional. Room noisy for sleeping with continuous humming sound as several aircon units outside the window.

The woman at reception on arrival was very friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond, making sure we were all happy and comfortable while we waited for our room. Breakfast was lovely and well organised. Beds were comfortable and clean. The hotel is located nearby to Waverley station..
The night staff were not as helpful. We reported a leak in one of the rooms we booked but he appeared disinterested and never investigated. The sink in the bathroom was also badly cracked and there was mold along the window.

Let us check in slightly early as a room was ready. Good location for getting on/off train for us. Fridge in the room helped us keep some drinks cool. Comfy bed and nice shower.
The TV was welcoming someone else and not me. Extremely noisy outside even with window shut.
