Limited access for mobility people, they have a ramp outside of the building to get around the hotel. But it is not convenient.

Great Central location and room has view of Edinburgh Castle above on the hillside.
No air conditioning and it was stuffy - when we opened the window onto the balcony the people next to us were smoking. When we asked the front desk about this they said it was our word against the other guests who denied it - most disappointing. The lobby and bar and grounds are shabby and outdated. The housekeeping staff all congregated in a tiny room directly across the room from us - they should have their own area somewhere else in the hotel. Very expensive for what you get.

Perfect location in the heart of the old town. Rooms were very comfortable with perfect beds. Very good breakfast, very friendly staff. The private parking lot worked perfectly.

The view from our room was magnificent. We loved seeing the castle and city day and night. The balcony was a plus and everything is in walking distance. We appreciated the tub and the breakfast was well appointed. There was a concert at the castle one of the nights we were there so we got to listen while lounging in bed. We were worried about the noise (lots of restaurants and pubs down below) but closing the window/door and drapes drowned out the sound.
We happened to be there when the weather was warm and there was no air conditioning. Something to hold the balcony door open to get a breeze would have been nice.

Staff were accommodating and went above and beyond for you, nothing was too much the service was excellent.
The only thing I would say is I think some of the furniture could be replaced as the wardrobe didn’t shut and creaked.
