The location was perfect, the staff very helpful and accommodating.
Too many stairs. I have a lung condition and have to take oxygen, so the stairs was not good for me. We also had a very noisy room. Room.1012, we could hear every door opening and closing, people walking past on the extremely creaky floor and a generator noise outside the window, so we could not have the window down. Plus for the price we paid for 2 nights, we'd have expected a better view than a brick wall. We were quite disappointed, considering I booked well in advance.

Location. Could not have been better positioned. Easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see.
Difficult access for carrying cases. No Ground floor access the only way in was up a long ramp.

Centrally located in Grassmarket area so easy to access so much nearby. Walkable to many places.
It is a city so there are city sounds. Heard some recycling trucks early in morning but it wasn’t too bad. Again, it’s a busy working city.

My wife fell and fractured her leg at the airport upon arrival in Edinburgh. After an afternoon in the hospital, we arrived at the hotel arranging to fly home the next day.
The staff were very helpful, completely welcoming, and did everything possible to make our short stay as comfortable as possible.
Everyone did all they could to bring cheer to our obviously dismal day, and they did it out of the goodness of their hearts.
We aim to be back next summer and will definitely be staying here.
The hotel room was comfortable, parking was convenient, it seemed to be in a good location (never got to walk around, of course) and the staff were excellent.

I am writing to express our deep disappointment regarding the room we were assigned during our recent stay at your hotel. This trip was intended to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for my partner and me, but the incorrect room allocation has significantly impacted our enjoyment.
We had specifically booked a superior room with a castle view in the Apex Grassmarket Hotel,to make this occasion special, but instead, we were given a small room in the Apex City Hotel. This oversight has caused considerable upset, particularly for my partner, as it detracted from the experience we had eagerly anticipated.
We kindly request an explanation for this error and ask how you can address this matter to restore our confidence in your establishment. We hope to resolve this amicably and ensure future guests do not face similar issues.
