The location of the hotel is placed in the vibrant area of the Grassmarket.
We booked this to celebrate our anniversary after having a fantastic visit to the apex in Dundee, however this Apex is showing signs of age. We had the castle view superior room but this was far from superior. Stains on the carpet, chips in the bath, no hot water for a shower at 9am and the room had the cleaners cupboard right outside which left us being repeatedly woken by the door slamming over and over from 7am.

Everything, cant fault hotel. I arrived really early and the staff sorted me a room with no issues at all which was a result.

The hotel is in the best location for sightseeing, shopping and nightlife. The rooms are spacious and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful
I didn’t sleep very well because the room was too warm with no option for cooling. The mattress was very firm and the pillows were unsupportive
