I stay here every time I visit Edinburgh, almost yearly and have always been very happy with the hotel. Clean, spacious and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast too. Perfect location and with a view of the castle, it really is a nice place to stay.
TV wasn’t working throughout our stay - offered to move rooms and complimentary breakfast. Happy with this.

The hotel was comfortable, warm and friendly. Staff helpful and polite. Liked the different spaces in the hotel - restaurant, bar, lounge and garden, pool and sauna. Available water on tap useful.
A few more hooks in the room for coats and towels would have been useful.

The walls/doors are thin, i could hear the man in the room next door and the staff in the corridoor.
The balconies have no privacy.
The mug in my room had someone elses lipstick on it and there was toothpaste splatter on the wall/unit surrounding the bathroom sink
The room needs better lighting or a separate make up mirror

The location was perfect , so many restaurants and cafes close by , The room was a good size with plenty of amenities and breakfast was fantastic!
The room was a furnace, it was so hot. I had the aircon running continuously and was still warm at night. my shower was leaking which I fixed when I arrived.
