Good location and castle view from a comfy bed was beautiful, pool was also a nice temperature.
Window in our room didn’t close properly, very draughty and could hear people from ground level throughout the night.
The room didn’t have enough storage for own property throughout stay especially in winter with coats etc.
We also stayed in a room with a cleaners access cupboard/door opposite and from around 07:00 each morning this door would be beeped open and left to slam closed over and over again repeatedly; presumably whilst filling a cleaning cart or the likes, I didn’t leave bed to investigate but I was definitely awoken by it, multiple times.
Also in the pool locker room, none of the lockers worked so we had to put our belongings on the floor beside the pool as only two loungers available.

I loved the location right in the heart as a grass market. The rooms were very modern and clean and the staff were very, very attentive and friendly.
My door did not close properly and if someone wasn’t aware of this, then technically anybody could just come in their room: however once I reported it maintenance arrived and fixed it within 10 minutes. Secondly, there was a white stain on the piece of fabric that they put at the bottom of the bed. It was quite a large stain but it hadn’t even been washed even though it was very visible.

Friendly helpful staff. Good location.EV charging good and reasonable cost.
Car parking charge was a little excessive.

The view is oustanding. Overlooking The Grassmarket and a spectacular sight of Edinburgh Castle towering above.
Breakfast was a bit pricey at nearly £20 a head. Some of the furniture and such were a bit dated in the room.

On Arriving there was ample parking and easy to access. The man in reception that booked us in was just amazing and as he explained all, chatted to me and my lady, went out his way to tell us where to go if we were going out in the evening. He just made our first touch of the hotel feel personal, and caring. He set all off perfectly a breath of fresh air and his friendly nature, professional capability just was just outstanding. I work as a Quality Assurance Director and business auditor for investors groups and that one person impressed more than I have seen for many years. The facilities, room, position and staff were all very good and we will be back soon. Even the young lad who was cleaning the rooms and we met him in the lift was helpful, chatty. Great job hotel.
Nothing to be honest it was all very good. Room amazing and view from the room just perfect. I have stayed with this hotel many times and each time the service and hotel have improved from good to perfect.
