Wonderful
Gym, breakfast, close to everything. Will definitely consider to book the hotel again.
Design mistake in the toilet due to the sink was just above my knees.
Two gigantic beds could be one bed and some sofa and table could be instead.
Bed was hard and we came from Glasgow where the bed was significantly more comfortable.

Location with view to Edinburgh Castle fantastic. Clean and comfortable
Overly complicated to order room service and get staff to answer the phone once you'd given up trying to download the app. Staff could have mentioned on arrival the ramp which would have made moving luggage much easier.

The location was amazing, and our view (which we paid for) was outstanding. Cleanliness was very good.
There was standing water in the shower, even after we requested that the management look into it. The room smelled musty unless the window to the deck was open. We asked for a key to keep the door to the deck ajar, and were given the incorrect one. We ended up using a sports bra to gap the door and ventilate our room. It is an old hotel that has been updated somewhat unsuccessfully. The breakfasts were fairly mediocre on a European standard.

The room had a view of Edinburgh Castle. The staff were very kind and had friendly smiles.
The bed was comfortable, and I had a pleasant stay.
The bathtub plug was broken, and although they promised to come and fix it the next morning, they didn't show up.
I had been planning to soothe my tired feet in the bathtub, so it was very disappointing.

Excellent location in Grassmarket. Restaurants and pubs near by. The staff was fabulous and accommodating. Only thing is on Google it looked like it was a short walk from the Princes St tram stop. It is not! Lots of steps to carry luggage up. That’s not the hotels fault but just a courtesy heads up to other travelers!

Not a bad located hotel, the room was a good size and was clean.
Settling my bill at check-in was insisted upon, which is pretty unusual. The staff demeanor was cold and robotic.
The family room we had has no aircon, quite surprising, although aircon wasn't shown as being present.
The hotel felt quite corporate and sterile.

The location was fantastic. Couldn’t have picked a better spot. Staff on arrival were very helpful and friendly. We were lucky to get an early check-in that made our day activities go ahead smoothly. Breakfast was included and it was excellent. We tried the Scottish breakfast.
It was good to have parking, but after playing a premium price for the room, £20 on top for the parking.

Castle view was excellent! Hotel was clean, staff were exceptional. A great stay!
Noise from street at night, since rooms overlook busy street/entertainment district. Closing the windows helps a bit.

Parking was hard to find. But we managed ok. I’d say it was more our fault than anything else due to being new to driving on the left hand side.
