Location was excellent! Cannot beat it. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Parking available. View of castle was amazing

This hotel is well placed for the festival, the service is good, ordinarily the room would be what you expect for a mid priced room but in the height of the season you pay for the convenience and location. It has a pool and it is very comfortable. They keep your bags on check out day so you don;t have to lug them around.
The check in is quite slow so I recommend you do this online before you arrive. The price is high for the room size and quality but this is because rooms this central in Edinburgh in August are like gold dust.

The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was alright.
The bath was very slippery and the bathmat provided was dirty.
The access ramp was closed off when we arrived and there are 10+ stairs to the ground floor.
Didn’t have plug adapters or at least just usb adapters

This property was centrally located to our stops. Great view of the castle.
The hallways and rooms were very hot. Bathroom had a lot of cosmetic damage and water went every where while the shower was running. Shower drained slowly.

Huge beds. Location near castle excellent.. Staff helpful.
Clean.
Pillows squshed to nothing when laid on.
Milk/tea etc... not topped up daily.
Requests made prior to arrival via email (purchase of birthday package); had not been communicated to the appropriate people.

Nice location, rooms were spacious, breakfast buffet was good.
The view from our room gave onto the car park and bins. The exterior from the outside did not particularly match the standard expected. The room was nice but the bathroom was a little dated. Price was a little excessive considering are stay was relatively basic.

The view from our room was beautiful, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff was very nice and accommodating. The beds were probably the most comfortable that we slept in our whole time in Europe this trip. The property is very centrally located to everything you want to see and do
The “ac” they claim to have is a fan on the desk. Thankfully they do have extras if you need one you just have to ask.

It was very nice to find the gift from the staff while arrived. Also hot chocolate for kids in the room and water in a common space were right on target.
Staff was polite and helpful.

We had a family room which was fine for 4 people. The bathroom was in comparison quite small for 4 people.
It was very warm and as the grassmarket is just in front of the window it was otherwise quite noisy.
But the view on the castle out of the window was exceptional!
