The room temperature was too warm unable to control even when radiator was turned off. Horrible shower structure, water goes everywhere. The room smelled.

The cost £279 per night room only. The room really wasn’t good enough to justify that. The heat. The room was hot as hell. Could open the windows to allow air in without inviting in the chaos from the street below

The location is located very close to tourist attractions. The view is fantastic!
We were actually disappointed that the cleaning staff were stealing from the room. One by one things disappeared from our room. At first we thought it was a mistake, but later we realized that it was done intentionally. We notified the reception, but nothing could be done. I recommend maximum vigilance for anyone who wants to stay here.
Thieves especially preferred newly purchased items, so it's best not to leave them in plain sight. Our personal belongings (comb) were also used.

The location close to Edinburgh Castle, Victoria st and the Royal Mile.
The room was excessively warm, even with the radiator adjusted and the fan operating. The bathtub posed a challenge due to its height, making entry and exit difficult, while the shower's lack of doors led to water spilling onto the bathroom floor. The alternative room we were moved to, which was labeled as handicap accessible, featured a shower stall with the doors removed resulting water to flow everywhere. In addition, the room emitted an unpleasant odor. Overall, my stay was disappointing, requiring me to reach out to the front desk on a daily basis, and the images of the room on the website did not accurately reflect the reality. I am very disappointed with the amount I paid. I would like to request for a refund or credit.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to the royal mile and loads of attractions. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Beds were very comfortable. Lively to have the pool and sauna to relax in.
Quite expensive particularly considering it didn't include breakfast.

The Reception staff were very welcoming. Our beds were very comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. There’s a hop on/off bus stop just across the road which we would recommend. Our room was cleaned by friendly staff.

We last stayed here about 10 years ago and it was a great stay. unfortunately the hotel has become tired and requires some TLC. e.g. stains on shower wall, stains on curtains and walls, poor quality bath products (used to be elemis). Room very small (superior) and too hot - working from a radiator, very difficult to control heat. and cold temp balance. Bath cracked. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Rooms were clean and a good size and hotel were very accomodating of our request for rooms next to each other.
The rooms are not sound-proof. We had a great view of the castle but as the rooms were at the front facing end of the property we had terrible night sleep on the first night due to the loud noise, drunk people walking and shouting on the street. I suffered a a migraine as a result of poor sleep. The second night was much quieter therefore better sleep. Please sound proof the rooms so we can recommend and stay in the future because currently based on poor quality of sleep I would not recommend this hotel, which is a shame as location is excellent.
