Location and staff was friendly
I was really disappointed by this hotel especially after reading so many positive reviews. The hotel is very tired and beat up. The bathroom tile, rug and furniture in our room had stains. The white bedding was clean but had stains. Our TV was broken in our room for the entire stay and the staff never fixed it or offered a refund, upgrade etc. The changing rooms at the pool were damaged. The lobby area was also lame with blankets covering the couches.

Bathroom smelled of mold. The shower curtain was too short. The sink was low. The price was way too high for the quality of the hotel. I paid 450$ CAD a night and I got a view of a way and the window was next to noisy vent.

Not too much. I wanted to leave
The room had an awful bleach/cleaning solution smell. I had to go buy a scented candle. The lobby design is terrible. Why on earth are there stairs to check in? You have to lug your heavy suitcase up 2 sets of stairs and to get to the elevator bank you have to lift your heavy luggage again. Terrible. For the price you pay, quality is terrible.

The location was great.
The beds were hard. While a single table fan was provided, there wasn’t AC in the room. So, we had to leave the window open at night. The noise from the street below kept everyone up all night. The partition for the shower did nothing to keep the water in. And because the partition is on hinges, our daughter nearly fell out of the shower a couple of times since there is no safety rail to hold onto when stepping out of the shower. Additionally, our tv didn’t work. Honestly, the money we spent was not worth it.

Great location to all the attractions!
No ramp for getting luggage up and down the stairs. The staff at the front desk didn't offer assistance with our bags.

Location
Smoking area was right by the open door so the lobby smelled like smoke. Too many stairs in the lobby no ramps. Hard to get luggage up steps. Dirty and old lobby and rooms. Showers didn’t hold the water leaked all over floor.

Location was the best part of this hotel! Right in the heart of the Grass Market area. Nicely designed room was large with lots of storage space for luggage and belongings. Bed was comfy. Room was very cute. Loved the water bottle refill stations in the hallways.
We were given a wheelchair accessible room (we did not request this) and water in the shower went everywhere as there is no ledge along the ground. We requested additional towels to prevent the water flooding issue and never received them. Hotel does not have air conditioning anywhere in the building but they supply fans. Only problem was our room was located above the outdoor smoking area of the hotel. So although they recommend opening the window to cool down the room, we were unable to do so because the strong cigarette smell was entering our room.

Location is great. Rooms were clean. Water pressure of both hot and cold water was great. Bed was comfy.
Air condition in room was a bit confusing and would not set itself to my desired temperature that I would select on the remote.

Very comfy bed. Lovely fluffy towels. Very clean. Location. Yummy breakfast. Polite staff.
The creaky floor outside our room. Loud enough to wake us up at times. If they give you rooms 1012, 1013 or 1015, ask for a different room.( especially with paying a premium fee for it!)..unless they fix it! But I doubt we were the first to mention it.
