The location
Not worth the value of your money. You’ll pay an expensive hotel rate just to access a different view from the castle. The bathroom was dirty, there was hair in the “clean towels”, the balcony was dirty with garbage, the windows not clean and the carpet disgusting, no isolation, a lot of noise that you could hear the other neighbors opening and closing the door. Go somewhere else!

Location was excellent, either walking or a quick taxi from Waverley. Large, clean rooms with thoughtful amenities. The concierge desk staff was wonderful to speak to, full of good suggestions.
I am very short and while the bathrooms were great overall, the tubs are extremely tall and a little hard to climb out of safely while dripping wet.

Really enjoyed our stay here, beds are so comfy, great pool and friendly staff, we will definitely visit again.
Not enough staff in the restaurant at breakfast as there was no one for a good while to take our order for hot breakfast both days but when we got it it was lovely. I think offering a hot buffet breakfast would be better than the ordering system.

Perfect location - close to shops, restaurants and easy access (walking distance) to the city centre. The staff was very friendly and the room was good. We loved the possibility to use the pool and wished we had brought gym clothes because the gym was very nice! The breakfast was really good with a lot of options!
There wasn't anything worth complaining about. Would definitely recommend this place and will probably book it again if we go back to Edinburgh :)
