We left at 9.30 in the morning to do a tour of the city and when we arrived back at 6.30pm that evening, our door had been left on the latch by the cleaners. When mentioned at reception she said they were very busy thay day. Disappointing response really.

The temperature of the hotel room was 25 degrees for the duration of our stay. We asked on two separate occasions if there was any way to cool it down and the reception staff explained that people like it this hot when it’s cold outside, and there was no way to cool it down. This resulted in a very uncomfortable nights sleep so I wouldn’t stay in this hotel again Drinking water is available but worth noting that this is from a water station which in our case was the other end of the hotel, was very slow to fill and had people queuing up to use it.

Ran out of water when wanting to have a hot bath. Water was never really hot. Toilet didn’t seem to flush properly. Door did not shut without a really hard push. Bed not as comfortable as expected.

Marina, in housekeeping, was particularly welcoming and greeted me warmly each day I was there. She helped me figure out how to use everything in the room (the coffee machine and keeping the key card in the slot by the front door.) Front desk staff was also very friendly and helpful and gave me great suggestions for restaurants (I was a solo traveler.) Loved the view of the Castle from my room and the tables set up outside on the plaza in front on sunny days and the many booths selling local wares. Great location!
Had to go next door for breakfast (not that much of an inconvenience.) Towel rack in bathroom very hot--maybe post a warning.
