Welcoming staff. Helpful and friendly. Comfortable bed. Clean fluffy towels. All the shampoo, conditioner anyone could possibly want. Breakfast was served at very convenient times.
Was pricey. I don't usually spend this much per night--not even in New York City. For the cost, breakfast should be included not an add on. Breakfast buffet was spread out all over, had to walk from one table for eggs, etc., another place for fruit, another for drinks, and yet another for pastries.

Excellent location, very professional and polite staff, clean room and excellent breakfast. All the staff at the breakfast restaurant were very professional.
I did not expect that the room at this rate would be without air-conditioning.

Decent sized and comfortable room. Comfortable beds.
Pretty basic given high cost though recognise that’s the Edinburgh effect … but still …
Room was quiet as requested but right at the back of the building with water cooler too far from room to be useful

The hotel is a very nice place, but the location is remarkable! You couldn't get any closer to the shops, restaurants and the castle up on the hill. The views from some of the rooms are great.
The room size was small, but adequate. A dresser would be nice.

Not much. It had a good location and a wonderful asst mgr named Natalia.
Ugly, really. My fridge and my heater did not work. There was a ledge going into the bathroom that you had to step over. Very dangerous. Restaurant was breakfast only. No amenities at all. My room was in a terrible location and had a very small window that looked out at junk. The curtain covered the whole wall anyway.

No restaurant other than for breakfast.
Generally very average and expensive.
