Wonderful
The location was superb - close to the Royal Mile, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also great, the hotel gives an opportunity to select one special hot meal in addition to "normal" breakfast choices.
The room had no air conditioning, we didn't pay attention to it while booking the room. Although during our stay it was not very hot in Edinburgh, 21..22 degrees only, the room got too hot overnight.

Requested an air con room which was acknowledged before our arrival. Spent first night in a very hot room without air con before being moved to a room with air con.

The location was golden! Everything was perfect. It was clean. It was modern, the staff were helpful, we could walk to any tourist destination from this hotel. Plus, there was parking for our rental car.
Can't think of anything that we disliked.

Good location for walking around city centre, but not easily accessible by public transportation (bus/train/tram). Staff was very friendly.
Would have been nice to be closer to a tram stop so I wouldn’t have to carry my bags, but location was chosen to be in city centre while I was in town

Location was ideal. Staff were nice and extremely responsive. Room was very comfortable and well-maintained. Bathroom was VERY nice. Loved having the bath and shower. We were able to get into our rooms before the official check-in time.
I booked a room with castle view and it was a stretch to say the room had a view. We were on the first floor, so I had to stand at the window and look up and over to see it in the distance. If I was not standing to the side of the window and looking for it, there was no view of the castle. Maybe the view is better if your room is on a higher floor, but I was disappointed to pay extra for what we got. I had counted on using the exercise room, but I found out it was in the neighboring hotel, and when I got to the neighboring hotel, the electrical outlets in the room were not functional so the treadmill didn't work.

Hotel was in a great location in the heart of old town with a lot of great restaurants/pubs across the street. Room was clean and loved having air when the temps were above average and very hot. The staff was friendly and there was a water station to fill water bottles which I loved. The bed was a little firm for me, but was still really comfortable and had one of my best nights sleep on the trip there. The shower was great and easy to use. Nice amenities and WIFI.

The breakfast was fantastic and definitely worth the money.
There was no Aircon in the room and for the price of the room I would have expected it to have Aircon. It was unbelievably hot on the 4th floor and you could feel the heat as soon as you came out of the lifts. Due to this the room was unbearable to sleep in.
