Good location from which to explore Edinburgh -- short bus ride or 30-min walk. Room had everything needed and bathroom appeared newly renovated. Host was friendly and helpful.
Unhappy surprise to be charged 5% extra to pay with a card (informed a few days beforehand, but still...). Our ground floor room backed up to the breakfast area so from 8:30 could hear guests next door.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The bedroom was extremely beautiful, clean comfortable and with good facilities.
My only small complaint was the organisation of breakfast, which should be a simple thing to handle at breakfast time, and not have the need to pre-order the day before. People need to have the option to decide how they feel in the morning, before deciding what food to eat. However the hotel itself was a lovely place

Juan was an amazing host, explained everything we needed to know about our stay as well as great tips for getting around. The beautiful breakfast served each morning in the dining room was delicious, and enjoying a fresh fruit salad every morning was a wonderful treat.
Our room was comfortable, everything worked and despite being nearly full, we couldnt hear any of the other guests. So quiet!
Theres a few shops at the end of the street, but 10 minute walk up the road was restaurants, supermarkets etc. And for those who love a walk, Edinburgh was only 30 - 40 minutes. Or jump on one of the buses that are super regular. Super easy to get around.
The shower - on the small side and low water pressure, worked fine based on the instructions provided by Juan. About the same as many of our other stays in the UK.
The stairs - maybe don't take your big suitcase, this is a traditional guesthouse in the most wonderful way, but of course this means stairs.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and highly recommend it.
The shower - think our hosts have done the best they can within the limitations of the building.

The owners couldn’t have done more for us. Provided very helpful information regarding transport around Edinburgh as well as things to do. Breakfast was really nice with loads of options to choose from.
