Wonderful
The host was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable, well-appointed and clean. The location was excellent--a very nice 10 minute walk to old town. Numerous good bakeries, cafes, and bars were located just a block or so away from the accommodation.

It was so easy to get to and access. So picturesque, and everything was decorated beautifully. We also loved the location as there were so many restaurants to choose from.

The Albyn is very charming and stylish. Our room was clean and comfortable, with colorful decor. The host is very friendly and welcoming, We would stay here again.

Comfy beds, quiet safe neighborhood, not too far from the city center, friendly host who was on site but unobtrusive, greeted us with chocolate and tea upon arrival which was nice, clean rooms with updated shower features, flexible check in and out times
Small nitpicky things. The TV didn't work which wasn't a huge deal since we were out a lot, but might have mattered if we stayed longer. Windows were a bit finicky. But overall it's definitely one of the better hotels I've stayed in

The room/s were very nice, some with views. We could easily walk to nearby restaurants, stores, and bus stops. The neighborhood was quiet, walkable, and safe. The owner was friendly.
We (the four couples) would rather have been able to use our credit cards to pay for the room/s. None of us had ever done a personal wire transfer before. Some of the bank information provided was not complete, thus making the transfer more difficult, time consuming, and uncomfortable.

The location was easy to get to via bus or Taxi/Uber. We found the neighborhood was local residents and away from the touristy area. Great restaurants are nearby and within a 10 min walk. The Host was easy to work with and we had a great chat as well. The room was as described with a comfortable bed and very clean. We slept well!

The room was absolutely lovely and well-accommodated for the more than reasonable price, Lydie was delightful and very communicative, and the stay was a delight—not to mention a gorgeous view of the whole city! The neighborhood is idyllic and surrounded by charming shops and cafes. Could not recommend more!

The room was fabulous-so roomy and with a great sitting area. Our hostess gave us a wonderful recommendation for a delicious dinner that we went back to twice: “The Three Birds”. But we could walk to so many others too. She also had a discount at a nearby delicious restaurant for breakfast if you wanted something more than just the yummy croissants that you could pay extra for from her. It was so convenient to walk everywhere too.

Nice quaint townhouse, location was reasonable to walk to old town, very quiet, clean, residential neighborhood, friendly staff
Very poor internet on the top floor. There are rules that must be followed. If you are planning on checking out early, you should let her know in advance.

Wonderful
Lydie welcomed us upon arrival. Very enthusiastic and with good tips to visit Edinburgh. The house is very nice and is perfectly located. Walking distance from the city centre and a wide range of restaurants. Even private parking space is available.

Lots of thoughtful additions to the room. Space for working and a very comfortable bed. Good coffee machine in the room. Very good shower pressure. Thoughtfut touches like cotton cleansing pads in the bathroom, tunnocks teacakes with the coffee tray.

Wonderful
Fun and funky. The home reflected the owner. We felt welcome and were treated with respect and friendliness. It is nice to stay with a proprietor who is a "real person".
Inasmuch as this is an older home, it would have been helpful to better understand how the radiant heating worked. Otherwise, everything was great.
