In the heart of Edinburgh, a 5-minute walk from Waverley Rail Station, 28 York Place Hotel offers a lounge bar, free WiFi and bedrooms with views. Each standard bedroom has private bathrooms with a bath and a shower. Each bedroom has private bathrooms, some rooms with a bath and shower, and some with a walk-in shower. All rooms have a hairdryer and handmade Scottish toiletries. The hotel is housed in a listed 18th century Georgian townhouse which means we do not have a elevator. We recommend guests who struggle with stairs consider a hotel with elevator access. Some rooms overlook historic York Place and the others have views over Edinburgh’s landscape, the River Forth and stretching to the Kingdom of Fife. Princes Street is also just 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel and Regent Gardens is 10 minutes’ walk away. Edinburgh Airport is a 30 minute tram ride away. Breakfast is served 8:30am-10am Monday-Sunday.

Perfect location for sightseeing. Room and bathroom were very clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Allowed us a late checkout at no charge.

The bathroom could have been doing with deep clean. Upon drying the floor after a shower the towels were left either dirt from the grout. Nothing dressing the windows apart from a blackout blind.

28 York Place is a lovely little hotel close to the the city center. My room was modern, clean, and very comfortable. There were little extras like chocolates, bottles of water and a hair dryer. The staff were really friendly and helpful — they let me check in early and even stored my bag for free before my flight, which was incredibly helpful.
One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel can be quite noisy at times due to the traffic outside, so I would recommend bringing earplugs just in case.

Location is ok , able to leave bags until room ready . Nice back room view was amazing
The twin room we had was very small , the bathroom also small and a little tired ( black mould ) .. the toilet didn’t flush properly and the sink slow drained .. reported to staff so should get sorted
