Excellent location, great layout with hotel reception and bar on the first floor well away from the rooms. Comfortable rooms, quiet with everything you could need.
Car parking is is not guaranteed, there were no spaces so had to park elsewhere at a considerable cost.

The twin single beds were a really good size. Larger than regular singles and very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and cheery, and the location for Excel could not have been better.
The shower was very weak, and the toilet was not in the shower room, so washing hands after using the toilet was a bit of a faff. But the comfort of the beds, location and staff made up for this very small negative. I would rather have a bigger bed and the a separate toilet than a smaller bed with a sink in with the toilet!

The bed was 2 single beds joined together and 2 single mattresses and it made the sleeping experience uncomfortable plus it had dips in the bed so not very happy about that and we did let the receptionist know aswell but not really and response, and as it being the most important thing about staying in a hotel i was quite unimpressed!
