The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is its location, which is conveniently close to the underground line. Also, the bed linens and towels were clean, and the bed was comfortable, although quite small.
The breakfast was a complete letdown. The food quality was extremely poor, with a very limited selection. Most of the items were simply inedible – the only thing vaguely acceptable was the scrambled eggs, which were completely tasteless. Everything else was low-grade, processed, and clearly not prepared with any care. The condition of the hotel is also unacceptable. The lobby furniture is worn, the walls are chipped and scuffed throughout the hotel and inside the rooms, and the carpets are stained and dirty, both in the hallways and the room. The carpet in our room even had a strong, unpleasant odor that never went away. The bathroom was outdated and in poor shape. Fixtures were rusted, with visible mold and mildew around the shower and sink. The toilet flush system broke completely on our last day. It felt like nothing had been maintained properly in years. The elevators are another issue. There are only two, and one broke down on the second day of our stay and remained out of order until we checked out. Thankfully, we were only on the second floor, but for others, it must have been a real problem. On top of that, the Wi-Fi connection was unreliable, constantly dropping out. For a hotel that markets itself to business and leisure travelers alike, this is unacceptable. In general, everything felt dirty, neglected, and poorly maintained. This hotel is in desperate need of a full renovation. In my opinion, it barely qualifies as a 2-star hotel, and is nowhere near the standard of a 3-star Holiday Inn. I would absolutely not stay here again and I would not recommend it to anyone. Poor service, poor conditions, and poor value.
