Staff were fantastic...then checked me into someone elses room
Booked this for my team for a 3 day exhibition...got into my actual room at 11.30pm (my choice) and then went to iron my shirt...and had to clear 9 months dust from the heaters that did not work!! Sent Videos and cancelled the rest of my teams stay and promised a refund...now having to take them to court for a refund!!!!

The hotel was close to the Excel arena and the checkin process was quick and smooth. Every time we required assistance or had queries the staff couldn't have been anymore helpful.
We did have a couple of minor issues that got resolved so quickly and without fuss we were in awe at the efficiency and it seemed like nothing was too much.
Cain was a pleasure to deal with and had the right attitude to customer service that would put a lot of the big faceless hotel brands to shame.
I have already booked for next year and would recommend any traveller looking to attend the Excel arena to look no further than a stay or a meal at the Fox Connaught!

The hotel was situated just a few minutes walk from the Excel which was ideal. It was lovely and clean and having stayed in a very uncomfortable bed the night before I was so glad to find the comfort of my bed here. My husband and I had food here too and the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were great also. I'll definitely be staying here again.

Disappointing
The location is perfect for attending events at the Excel and the room was certainly spacious with access to amenities. Did not hear anything from the pub during the stay.
(issues may be purely linked to Room 4). Room 4 needs some love! The wifi is absolutely shocking and I was unable to connect /have weak connection for the majority of my stay, making working from the hotel room impossible. The headboard is peeling off the wall and a significant lack of detail within the cleaning. The booking link does say pay for hot breakfast but the booking.com page does say they offer a free continental breakfast which is not true. I was unable to get hot water for the shower, when asking I was told that I needed to turn the heater on and wait (not informed when checked in) but no guidance or how or where.

Good facilities, great location for London Excel, staff friendly and helpful, room dated but had what was needed
Windows rattled all night with the wind, bed soft and dipped in the middle, hairs in the bathroom and overall cleanliness/maintenance not that great

The management who did not refund my money since May 11th.
I booked for three nights and I left the hotel in the first two hours since the hotel was very noisy and smelly. I requested a refund for two nights but no action was taken by the hotel management.

Great location for excel, great price.
Aircon was broken (heatwave) and no one there after 10 to rebook the room - check when you get in. However, were very helpful in moving the room the next day. No wifi signal on middle floors - staff unable to resolve.

The location and the style of the building were cool; authentic pub atmosphere, not noisy in the room even though the pub was downstairs; 20% off on food at the pub. The bed was good.
Wifi didn’t reach our room at all; the shower was the worst part: small, moldy on the ceiling, and the bottles were located in an awkward position very hard to reach. The short young guy working at the bar had poor customer service skills and a “I-couldn’t-care-less” attitude.
Having said that, it would take minimal effort to improve any downsides.

Overall I like here and would stay again. The staff were helpful, room comfortable and good value for money.
The bar is tired. Carpet needs replacing and some of the tables also.

Location and parking were great. Good size room and bathroom and clean bedding with extra pillows at hand.
Very comfortable bed and very quiet room.
Good communication when we called hotel before our stay. Pleasant staff.
Bottle of water and biscuits in room on arrival was nice touch.
Ample wardrobe/shelf space in room and a safe.
Check in was slow.. nobody at desk.
Shower water was very temperamental in our room - ice cold for a long while before going to scalding.
Hairdryer in bathroom didn't work.
Didn't replenish tea/coffee after first day.

WiFi didn’t work on my second floor room, shower didn’t drain well and I didn’t dare use it for longer than 4 minutes or risk flooding, room very small only about 4metres wide in total.

Clean room not affected by the outside noise. A pleasant sleep.
Allegedly they "offer a complimentary continental breakfast to all our guests to help start their day". But they don't. Breakfast is a paid for affair with £3.00 for a cup of tea which would have been free if you stay in your room.
