Lovely old building
newer bits a bit of a strange juxtaposition but overall worked pretty well. Tv was a bit odd in terms of usage tea and coffee really let the place down such an easy fix

The room was beautiful and the original house was spectacular. Breakfast was very good.
The evening meal in the restaurant was not good. The staff were very inexperienced.

Dirty cup in room, food at the restaurant wasn't nice.
No lift so had to do 3 flights of stairs wile struggling with back problems.

modern bedroom, comfy bed, countryside outlook . Great reception room for 200 guests plenty of space for tables stage and dance floor.
Staff not experience enough on reception they asked for payment for room which was already paid though booking .com. Attended Ball in main entertainment room the bar prior to this room had new staff and they were unable to deliver a basic drink request such as lime & soda. We stayed over night and booked bed and breakfast however this was disappointing , ordered cooked breakfast and it looked and tasted that it had been pre prepared & waiting on warming plates the speed of its delivery to the table, also the coffee machine was temperamental and unable to deal with volume of customers.

Felt safe and secure.
Check in and out times had to rush a lot to keep up with the timings, also breakfast was dismal, had to wait 45mins for it, only for it to come cold and also lost out on a hour of the spa booking to which we only got an hour because of the slot bookings. However the girl at the spa reception was kind enough to only charge us for 1 person instead of 2 for missing the time slot because of the late breakfast.

Comfortable beds and nice location
Breakfast took 40 mins to arrive and 2 were forgotten. When it arrived it was over cooked and dried up. Room service - had to ask for menus, food arrived cold. Sent 2 meals back which werent touched and tried to charge us for them. Staff - had to ask numerous times for things, bad attitude and Receptionist argued with us on checkout and insisted meals must be paid for despite not eating them.
