Wonderful
Great rock pub guest house with rock themed rooms, very quirky and something refreshingly different! The staff were lovely and welcoming, particularly Dec who was behind the bar when we arrived. Location is right on the edge of the wonderful city of Chester with free overnight parking, the rooms were clean and the bed really comfortable. Also, they host lots of gigs and events during the week, it was open mic night when we arrived and we heard some cracking voices! Also, we left our phone charger and a couple of leads in the room after leaving and they were kind enough to post them back to us, great service team! We will definitely be back.
We stayed in room 7 (Pantera!) and the shower head leaked more water than it sprayed!

Good location. Fun room. I was in Kiss (after the band).
Noisy! I was trying to have a good nights sleep before the Chester half marathon and hadnt realised I had booked into a rock hotel . Still, bed was comfy.

Unique, quirky full of character. Loved the themed rooms.
Staff amazing friendly and helpful.
The pub and food is excellent too.

Staff very welcoming , nice size room and bed super comfy ...breakfast was delicious and cooked to order . Highly recommend!
Sadly our room didn't get a clean on the second day ...not that bothered about that to be honest it's just that we had no loo roll or coffee, sugar etc . Did ask the young girl at the bar early in the day she stated that the cleaner was just going up now .we came back around 7.30 ish ...Still not done . Anyway , it got sorted in the end ...not a huge problem but a little disappointing we had to chase it .

The hotel is in such a great location, far enough away from town to be out of the hustle and bustle but still only 5-10 minutes walk from the town and shops. Delicious breakfast and the staff were so lovely & welcoming. Rebecca was fabulous with helping me sort out my booking as we had to make several adjustments to change dates etc. before arriving.

Breakfast and location was superb. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Shower had only very hot water. Couldn't have a cool shower as weather was hot. Rooms were a little dated.

Staff were really lovely,very welcoming & helpful. Let us leave our bags there before we could check in.
We were upgraded to a bigger room,which was great.
Room was immaculately clean.
As said on other reviews the rooms look tired & could do with an upgrade,especially for the price.
Shower was poor & cold water took ages to come through at the sink.
The noise from the bar was very noticeable but we were made well aware of this,both on booking.com & by staff.

The location is great, walking distance to all the sights the staff are really friendly the theme rooms were pretty cool breakfast was good
the rooms need alittle maintenance and updating in parts and the shower was very hit and miss with the temp. the remote in the room didn't work for the TV but could use the TV buttons i feel that the Continental part of the breakfast should be laid out so that you can help yourself, rather than be part of the menu, that you have to order. makes the customer self conscious

Excellent location close to racecourse and shops. Food both on the evening and at breakfast was tasty. Staff attentive and their local knowledge of the area was welcomed when needed.
