Rooms and bathrooms were clean, but there was mold in the shower. Breakfast was tasty and good value for money. Staff were very pleasant. Don't want to submit a poor review. Would rather email the Saddle Inn privately. We were only staying 2 nights with 3 other couples and the issues we faced could not be addressed during the time we were there so we didn't raise them with the staff.
Mattresses were very poor and lumpy. Bedding was domestic, not hotel/B&B standard (which are designed to withstand frequent laundering). Pillows were almost flat. Mold in the shower. Only 4 coat hangers for 2 people. chipped furniture. Could only use 3 drawers as the 4th drawer didn't have a handle. Not much storage so didn't use refreshments as our toiletries etc had to be stored on the same table. Bed only had one knob on the corner of one side - scraped my arm on one of the others with drew blood.

I liked everything!! Sadly you're not often blown away these days, but I was!!
I was in the Pantera room also saw the Black Sabbath and ACDC rooms - excellent, would love to see the other rooms. My room was quirky and very comfy, we had a great night in the bar watching an Alice in Chains tribute We also had breakfast which was outstanding.

Heavy metal themed rooms, live band the night we stayed until late which suited perfectly. Very good full cooked English for breakfast from very pleasant staff. Great location with onyl a very short walk to the centre. Would stay again on a night with a live band.

Location and some staff where good
Staff later on where aggressive and accused one of our party of smoking in room when they hadn’t. Barged in room where young girl was sleeping and threatened to through them out unless they paid a fine of £140 which they paid as they where scared. Member of staff was male with beard who said he was the owner but not sure whether that is correct.

Staff were exceptional very friendly and helpful
Could do with fans in the rooms also didnt like the outside fan making loud noises through the night however once I mentioned it they contacted the brewery to correct the problem. I also didn't like the green light on the ceiling in the room being on all night.

Everything, comfy clean room, great breakfast and the pub meal we had for our tea, staff brilliant, nothing too much trouble. Even gave us a bottle of water to travel home with.
