Good
Location, nice building, location, clean room, big shower, comfy bed
No parking, but city centre car parks close enough. Ok for us short people but not recommended for tall people if you dont want to bang your head on beams and doorways

Location. Good room.
Limited ventilation. Breakfast selection and quality not up to par with other similar properties.

Poor
Bath and shower
Room extremely hot. Fan too noisy!
Food experience and nothing special. Not like website photos. Cold chips a cold gravy.
Hot water was scorching and very dangerous. Cold water went off for about 20mins one evening. Early morning staff very noisy and inconsiderate.
On check-out I told the receptionist about the hot room and he replied....
,"It's just one of them things isn't it"?
The lager tasted very weak and the Guinness was awful and why is it more expensive than the other pubs around chester. So to be honest I'm after our stay in the Pied Bull was nothing to write home about. Wish I'd spent the £200 for the room elsewhere.

Very Good
The location is excellent, right in the centre of the city about 5 minutes from the bus station and 15 minutes from the railway station. Excellent breakfast.
Was in a kind of annexe that was accessed via the beer garden. Not really a problem but not pleasant when it was pouring down on the way to breakfast.
Also had a problem with bedside lamps not working, had to ask three times before something was done.

Pleasant
Location was perfect
Thin walls so noise travelled. Had to listen to a rather excitable couple for most of the night and it felt like they were right next to me!

The location was excellent, right in the heart of the city & the breakfast was good.
The checking time is 3pm, which is usual, however we arrived at ten to 3 & had to wait the 10 mins to check in. There was another couple waiting who had just flown in from the US then train from Manchester & they were exhausted but still had to sit & wait till 3!

The Pied Bull is in an excellent location, right on the main street. We stayed one night in the brewers cottage which is just a few strides round the corner.
All very clean and well presented.
Food at the pub was very good too.
My only complaint was that there was an illuminated fire exit sign in the bedroom which lit up the room at night. I fell asleep eventually so not really a huge issue.
