Close to town centre and friendly welcome
I've stayed here before and found it amazing with no complaints however this time I was a little disappointed. I am a house in a hotel so I believe there are certain standards to be expected. The room was extremely small and not what expected. The tv was really small in corner of the room, the shower head was too low so my partner was unable to stand under it and I understand these things may be unavoidable in a small room however what I did find a little unacceptable was a pillowcase that was stained, a towel that was stained, a cup that was dirty and a carpet that definitely hadn't been hoovered as there were bits and a clump of hair on it. I like this hotel for its location however this has put me off slightly as I would definitely not want to stay in this room again unfortunately

Amazingly located right in the centre, walking distance to everything.
The beds were rather small and could do with replacing for more comfortable ones. A hotel should invest in better beds.

Characterful pub with it's own micro-brewery in the basement, so a changing selection of beers over our stay. Breakfast was very good and there were some useful discount vouchers! Room was comfortable and the location was pretty central.

Bed was very hard, room small & bathroom excessively spacious in comparison.
No double glazing, just traditional sash windows where there was space to add additional soundproofing. Early deliverys of kegs etc so hard to have a peaceful

Fabulous location and the accommodation was lovely. One of the staff members, Lucy, went above and beyond.
