I love this hotel and have stayed here previously.
I feel the room was not as nice as previously and as the hotel room is closing for updating the standards were definitely not the standard that they used to be. Complained about a problem with the toilet and we had to wait several hours for someone to come up and then the problem was not resolved so someone from reception had to come up again and rectify it.

The location is fantastic. The restaurant area is lovely.
Our room was extremely dated and small. Very expensive for what it was. Have stayed in centre of Manchester with gorgeous modern larger rooms for approximately £80/£90 less in cost.

Lovely stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Went for the continental breakfast, which was included. The full english upgrade would have been £12.95 (I saw a higher figure mentioned in other reviews), which seemed reasonable.
The building and interiors are gorgeous.
The parking was very handy for the hotel entrance.
Sorry to hear that it’s due to close.

I was led to believe from booking.com that we would enjoy a full breakfast as they quoted nice breakfast and all other websites quoted continental breakfast but I was informed by the hotel that we were only entitled to a continental breakfast. So quite disappointed.
Being misled over breakfast
