Rooms also include free WiFi. With 4 AA Rosettes, The Arkle restaurant offers tasting menu and La Brasserie offers informal cuisine and coffees among Parisian decor. A Continental breakfast is served in the morning and a full English option is available at an extra cost. The Spa at The Chester Grosvenor features 5 luxury treatment rooms providing a wide range of relaxing treatments. Guests can also enjoy the steam room, salt grotto, and foot baths. In the center of Chester, the hotel is less than 5 minutes’ walk from both Chester Cathedral and Grosvenor Park. On one of Chester’s historic shopping streets, the hotel is next to the Grosvenor Shopping Center. The Spa and Thermal Suite are open Thursday to Monday. There is an additional charge for guests to use the Thermal Suite unless Spa treatments have been booked.

A beautiful hotel in a great spot. The room was fine and the valet parking was exceptional.
Service at breakfast was truly awful. After being seated and getting our beverages it took 40 minutes, despite asking several times to get our food order. We were never asked how things were, whether we wanted more drinks or further food. This was despite there being numerous staff. The bar service was poor despite the prices being astronomical. Food in the Brasserie was very nice, but again the service was very poor. My wife asked for horse radish sauce to accompany her meal. It arrived when she had almost finished her meal, along with a side dish of cauliflower cheese that should have accompanied the meal. There was also a long delay before our desserts arrived. When we complained we were given an apology but no explanation. The restaurant was by no means full and there seemed to be ample staff. On checkout our bill was totally wrong and took several calls to sort out - we were charged twice for the room and the hundred pounds that we paid on check in had not been refunded. Also a lot had been charged in gratuities for the totally inadequate service, which we did manage to get removed. These are not issues you would expect from any hotel and particularly from a famous five star hotel like the Grosvenor.

Staff were excellent, food at the tasting menu was stunning. Breakfast was really good, location in center of town is amazing and close to all amenities.
The parking, or at least the directions to the parking are awful. Even once you find the entrance to the parking, the Hotel says its on 2A but the parking garage doesn't designate between floor "2" and the next floor "2" so you have to work it out yourself. The hotel entrance glass doorway is so dark and the branding is dark as well so you can't really tell if thats the Hotel entrance until you get up close to it.

Great location in the heart of Chester, easily accessible to the shops, restaurants and bars.
My check in experience wasn’t great and embarrassing given the booking hasn’t transpired properly being told my wife wasn’t on my booking as such will have to pay extra. To avoid further embarrassment I discreetly paid the extra monies and moved on. Whilst it’s a known fact The Grosvenor, is sadly closing it would seem the rooms are in need of a little TLC. I came out the bath covered in bits where the bath is delaminating. Otherwise a great evening away.

The spa facilities aren’t great and the fact after paying £250 for a night stay you then have to pay £15 each to be able to use the spa facilities which is basically a sauna and steam room and somewhere to soak your feet into

I felt it was very over priced . The food wasn’t great with tiny portions and huge prices ! Our bedroom was really cold Infact the corridor was warmer

The entrance to the hotel was fantastic and looked lovely
The rooms weren’t very clean, wallpaper was ripped and worn, bathroom had dirt/hair on the floor. This was the same for all three rooms I booked so I definitely wasn’t a missed thing. Everything in the room was an additional charge you had to read everything first incase it wasn’t complimentary. Service in the restaurant was extremely slow even though it had only about 4 tables in, I had to ask numerous times to be seated for food even though we had booked. It took around 1 hour to get food which for the price was not to standard the haddock dish I got served 9 chips!! Yet charged £24.50! Overall for the cost of the rooms it was not to standard and I was very disappointed, this was a trip for my mums 70th birthday!
