This award-winning 5-star hotel features individually decorated rooms with bathrobes. Guests can relax in the spa's Thermal Suite, complete with herb sauna and steam room. All of the luxurious rooms have their own individual color scheme, and feature large, comfortable beds. Guests can relax with bathrobes, slippers and luxury toiletries in the bathroom. Rooms also include free WiFi. With 4 AA Rosettes, The Arkle restaurant offers tasting menu and La Brasserie offers informal cuisine and coffees among Parisian decor. A Continental breakfast is served in the morning and a full English option is available at an extra cost. The Spa at The Chester Grosvenor features 5 luxury treatment rooms providing a wide range of relaxing treatments. Guests can also enjoy the steam room, salt grotto, and foot baths. In the center of Chester, the hotel is less than 5 minutes’ walk from both Chester Cathedral and Grosvenor Park. On one of Chester’s historic shopping streets, the hotel is next to the Grosvenor Shopping Center. The Spa and Thermal Suite are open Thursday to Monday. There is an additional charge for guests to use the Thermal Suite unless Spa treatments have been booked.

I love this hotel and have stayed here previously.
I feel the room was not as nice as previously and as the hotel room is closing for updating the standards were definitely not the standard that they used to be. Complained about a problem with the toilet and we had to wait several hours for someone to come up and then the problem was not resolved so someone from reception had to come up again and rectify it.

The location is fantastic. The restaurant area is lovely.
Our room was extremely dated and small. Very expensive for what it was. Have stayed in centre of Manchester with gorgeous modern larger rooms for approximately £80/£90 less in cost.

Lovely stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Went for the continental breakfast, which was included. The full english upgrade would have been £12.95 (I saw a higher figure mentioned in other reviews), which seemed reasonable. The building and interiors are gorgeous. The parking was very handy for the hotel entrance.

I was led to believe from booking.com that we would enjoy a full breakfast as they quoted nice breakfast and all other websites quoted continental breakfast but I was informed by the hotel that we were only entitled to a continental breakfast. So quite disappointed.
